Goooooooooood morning.
daelite here!!!!!!!!
I'm sure you've already read Hiroshima reports but I was told to write a 37 page one...... only made it to 25 pages, 7 of which are just personal stuff that I wanted to write down for the memories, apologies. This is a bit late because I actually have final exams all this week and decided to be a good student and study instead of writing my report |Db I send luck to anyone else going through final exams right now!
HIROSHIMA WAS AWESOME ♥
More awesome than Fukui, to me.
However I have three regrets about the Hiroshima concerts! So am going to get that discussion out of the way first.
1. I didn't get to eat Bikkuri Ramen
I really wanted to eat it but ended up having yakisoba from 7-11 as my dinner because I was in a rush before shows. ....Bikkuri ramen, may we meet again under different circumstances....
2. I didn't take a picture with Rosa
I forgot, which is really unfortunate! D: We might meet again, but I wanted to have it as a memory.
3. I didn't yell KUSANO SAIKOU
Before the first show my friend and I were going one direction and passed by a girl going the other direction who had two Kusano uchiwa. Right after we passed her my friend and I spazzed about Kusano and in retrospect I should have yelled something at that fan. It probably would have made her day! ;;___;; (well, besides the who being at a NEWS concert thing)
Not eating cheap ramen, taking a photo, or annoying a Kusano fan. I know. My life is so horrible. .....|D Report time! I spellchecked it but didn’t really reread it to make sure my sentences are all understandable. Apologies (_ _)
Uchiwa
likeafox and I purchased stuff to start making uchiwa during late November from LOFT and got some other stuff from some hundred yen shops and Lawson. We spent three full afternoons working on them (maybe 3-4 hours at a time) and then a few more hours the morning before the shows haha ♥ We probably spent like…. 4,000 yen to make 5 uchiwa sides and have a lot of random bits left over.

Uchiwa explosion XD

Working away!

Complicated plans.

Partially done uchiwa.

My friend's :D

Mine, says "Do WISH please" ♥ WISH is DAIGO's famous move.

Also on mine, matches my friend's and says "American's ♥ NEWS"

My Koyama uchiwa.....

WHICH HAS THE MOST AWESOME BACK EVER ♥
Yes, I glued it straight on. No, I don't care haha. This is my beloved uchiwa~ ahah. I spent so much time thinking on how I wanted it to look, even though it's simple.

But I even added little cellphone gems :D

Originally I was thinking to have this kitty on it somewhere but thought it looked better without it.
I sadly don't have a picture of my friend's finished uchiwa- the side with "Ryo" on it also said "SEXY OSAKA MAN" 8D
Adventure
This is strictly personal about my trip there but I don’t want to forget it. Skip unless you’re bored enough to seriously read 6 pages of this nonsense XD
Woke up Friday at 6 AM to my phone blasting LOVE ADDICTION.
Had a Japanese oral exam at 10 AM then other classes until around 3PM. After that I spent the afternoon giggling with my friends in the computer lab (by which I mean yelling random stuff across the room lol) and chatting with
w_ryoku,
nichiya and
snowy_yuki for hours~~ for the first time in months ♥♥♥
Basically, I was in the BEST MOOD 8DDD
And thus, my adventure of epic sketch begun lol ♥
After bumming around campus until they kicked me and a few straggling Japanese students out I went and read about Shonentai scandals in the bookstore until 9PM when I met
likeafox at the station. We had to catch a nightbus leaving at 11PM from Kyoto station and had over 2 hours to get there, which should be really simple.
............or not lol~
We made things potentially more complicated for ourselves trying to get on the fastest trains and the cheapest route and having to change several times. At one point we wandered out of a station and literally thought we had ended up in Nara. I was 100% convinced we were in Nara (the two of us had a very sketchy time getting to Nara a few months ago, it was epic) and was about to freak out (ie: already freaking out) when I realized it wasn't Nara at all.
...anyway we eventually made it to Kyoto station but it was already almost 10 PM and everything was closed as we took our time wandering through the underground section of the station for an excessively long time. It was about then we realized we hadn't printed or even looked at the map of where our bus was going to pick us up.
........lol~ HAHHA. er,
likeafox then desperately used her cellphone's internet to download a copy of the map and we ran to the opposite side of the station looking for a "BellMart Foods" (labeled on the map). We found one and kept walking past it like the map said and ended up in a creepy back alley/under-a-bridge/highway. .....no bus DDD:

While we tried to figure out what had gone wrong some random guy started trying to talk to us in English XDDD; So I called the bus company while
likeafox dealt with Mr. Random Salaryman. Calling the bus service was vaguely helpful but after I explained my situation and asked them for more details on where the bus was they were like "Well the Hiroshima bus is located near the Harvest Foods and a BellMart Foods and... HELLO? HELLO?" <-- ending their explanation to speak in English
.....and they kept speaking in English and REDID their explanation, which wasn't even useful, and I ended up waving
likeafox to run after me as we went to the other corner of the station: THERE WERE TWO BELLMART FOODS. TWO.
So we got on our bus with like 10 minutes to spare.
....HAHAHA I was having so much fun 8DDD I like crazy things like this...
At any rate we got on our bus safely, though not without incident, and found our seats to be second from the back. We plopped down (I got the window seat, yay ♥ thank you!) and immediately started flipping through the latest Potato(?) or maybe Duet. Whatever has Hey!Say!JUMP in Santa outfits as the cover. We had a blast criticizing the bad styling choices this month for all of JUMP, NEWS, Uchi, Toma... most pages it felt like lol. Shige looked like he had his picture taken to apply to an acting college, Massu a poetry slam, Yamapi a singer at a rodeo, Koyama a porno, Tegoshi.... I don't remember from there on lol. We had gotten to around ARASHI's pages when suddenly three girls rushed into the bus and took the three seats behind myself and
likeafox. .......fangirls!?
likeafox thought we should start name dropping like "blahblahblah KUSANO blahblahblah AKANISHI JIN" and see if they reacted. We ended up loudly looking at the Potato until suddenly one of the girls looked over the seat and was like "KANJANI?????". We talked to the three of them briefly- a Yamapi fan, Tegoshi fan, and Massu fan. My friend and I go by Koyama and Ryo as who we're fans of (though we love them all haha). So in the back of the bus we had everyone but a Shige fan 8D

By the time the bus was full I would say it was 80-90% people going to the NEWS concert ♥ Since it was a night bus a lot of people brought pillows or blankets, and one girl even had the Lawson's blanket! I love the sense of being surrounded by chitchat and just hearing ".....Kei-chan.................P........ .Ryo.......Nishikido-kun........Shige... ......Massuuuuu~........" etc as people talk haha.
As the bus got underway they cut the lights and I proceeded to listen to a ton of NEWS music while trying to sleep for the next 7 hours ♥
I woke up every now and then to beautiful views like this:

We arrived at Hiroshima station at 6:40 AM. I hadn't really slept but time had definitely gone faster than I expected which makes me think I was going in and out of full consciousness. It kind of felt like I had been sitting in class for 7 hours, trying not to fall asleep and so semiconcious of what the teacher was saying but not actually awake OR sleeping... that feeling.
Although we had arrived about a half hour earlier than we expected we just went ahead and began trying to follow the directions to our hostel. Which told us to go to the "south exit" of Hiroshima station... and we were at the "south shinkansen exit". Turns out this was the wrong one and we ended up having to take a passage under the station to get to the main south exit. From there it was a short (5~10 minute walk) following the tram line to get to our hostel.

K's House Hiroshima (:
Highly recommended for cheap lodgings because the location is great and it's the cleanest hostel I've ever stayed in (and I've stayed in quite a few). Plus is has no curfew and multiple bathrooms. If you share a mixed room it's 2,500 a night per person. Sweet awesome ♥
It's even got a Lawson nearby! About 1 minute's walk away. What else could a NEWS fan want ;D

Anyway, we got to the hostel around 7:15 but check in doesn't start until 8 AM. We waited in the heated lobby until 8 AM and checked in without any issue, but couldn't check into our room until three. We used the lobby as our base and I went to take a shower while
likeafox did some facebook stalking. After that we took a trip to Lawson to get some breakfast: 2 sticky chocolate danishes and some plain bread (to cook into toast). We then spent several hours eating breakfast, make last minute additions to our uchiwa, painting our nails, gossiping about Johnny's and having a GRAND time of it all.
L.M.A.O.
Everyone else in the hostel were total... hippies, for lack of other word.
Mostly European and mostly having zero knowledge of Japanese they were the typical hostel type: young and free spirited travelers who were here in Japan to experience 'something' life changing...
Meanwhile, here my friend and I sit being basically as materialistic as possible.
IT WAS GREAT!!!!!!!!!!
We were seriously cracking up, like... what did these people think of us HAHAHA. They basically never talked to us though, so whatever.
However as we were putting finishing touches on our uchiwa I ran into a problem.
...................................
........................................ .....
........................................ ...............
....I needed to reglue the K's on my KKK uchiwa.
........................and I'm sorry but,
.........there's no way I'm pulling out a big fan that reads "KKK" on it while surrounded by nonJapanese people!! AHAHAHHAA.
I ended up 'going to the bathroom' and finishing editing there.
My life is so sad sometimes HAHAHA.
Uchiwa corrected and dressed for the occasion, we headed out to the arena around 10 AM. We should have just taken the tram, but we made our lives more complicated by taking the train and walking instead. We were guided by rivers, trams and SMAP. SMAP are our life senpai, and guide us in everything XD
Got to the arena and went to show one~ (details below).
likeafox wasn't originally going to go but ended up buying an 8,000 yen ticket of a scalper. lol ♥
In between shows I split with Rosa and rushed to the nearby 7-11 with
likeafox to get a yakisoba dinner. We then went straight into the arena for show two at 5:30 (doors opened at 5).
Went to show two~ (details below).
Afterwards we reallllllly didn't want to leave. Lingered around for a long time in the arena and eventually wandered out. Walking through a pedestrian tunnel we saw this sign:

And I freaked a little, since I had never seen Hiroshima Castle and NEWS had mentioned it was the only thing of Hiroshima they had seen yet. So we went to see it ♥

It was really pretty at night!
After that we wandered around for awhile longer and went to the genpaku dome (atomic dome?). We had been excitedly talking about Johnny's as we walked up but I felt like I shouldn't be talking about something so trivial while in front of this :O

However, a few seconds later I heard fangirly babble and there were some Tegoshi fangirls waving uchiwa and chatting happily right in front of it. HAHAHA. Well~ that's for the best.

At any rate, I've only ever seen the genpaku dome in rain before this, and now I've seen it at night too. It's kind of creepy in the rain and is EXTREMELY creepy at night. It really seemed like a ghost or...something might come out at any minute. There were a lot of creepy shadows. :S
We then spent some time a bit lost and just wandering around. Hiroshima is all decked out for Christmas which was nice ♥

Eventually we caught the tram back to Hiroshima Station. It was packed with fangirls! But a random guy got between myself and
likeafox :(
...but at one point she turned to me like "daelite, daelite--! *cough cough*" but I had no idea what was going on. Talking to her later I found out the two girls in front of her had been talking about the possibilities of 8 NEWS returning and how Kusano was in the US. OH MAN :( I wish I could have talked to them about it and heard their opinions :D And given them Kusano news from America lol.
We got back to our hostel around 10 and had the full intention of going to Lawson and buying cake to celebrate but we were exhausted. Watched some youtube clips and I made my spazzy update about Shige seeing my uchiwa. We also laughed while listening to other hostel customers talking about how they had gone to a "maid bar" (maid CAFE) or how "It would be so easy if the sign was just in English!" or how they were going to "NaGOOOya" and just... wow. They were pretty amusing ^^;; After being amused we then went straight to bed. I fell asleep immediately after not sleeping that much on the bus the night before.
.....6 AM and my phone is blasting LOVE ADDICTION again. Woke up and took a shower, waiting 10 minutes for the water to warm up. When I came back to the room we then packed up and were out of the hostel by 7:15 or so. We headed back to Hiroshima station and got on our bus back to Osaka which departed at 8 AM.

It was roughly half empty I'd say :D
Ended up getting to spread out which was really nice.
I proceeded to spend the entire ride half sleeping, half studying for my final exam in Japanese and spent the whole time listening to NEWS music (5-6 hours? lol).

When we stopped in Fukuyama I bought breakfast/lunch. A bread roll thing with milk cream in it.

Scary Santa outside the rest stop.

Bus parked in the middle here was ours :D

Scenery ♥
We arrived in Osaka at about 1 PM with time to kill, so
likeafox escorted me to eat cake (which we hadn't ate the night before!). We of course spent the whole time talking over excitedly about NEWS and ARASHI haha.

And with this piece of cake, my fun filled weekend came to an end :(
.....so you would think!
But actually the next day (Monday) my friends were really kind ♥ I love you all! We all went to Lawson and bought a BUNCH of cake. A TON of cake. It felt like we were buying one of everything!

We then ate the cake while
likeafox and I told stories about the con or we all played Japanese hang man with inspiring sentences like "I love Johnny's" or "Massu's hair surprised me". But the hangman was getting really hard in Japanese because there are roughly twice the number of hiragana/katakana there are English letters! So we decided it was "RUSS-K Hangman" where you get a whole outfit before you end up losing. Which led to my friend saying "So we're hanging NEWS in this game?!" HAHAHA.

Here's hangman Massu- with his new haircut!

And my piece of cake ♥
Did I mention we bought a ton of cake from Lawson and they all gave me the stickers?
I can get the blanket now ♥
Thank you, friends TT____TT

And this is the blackboard as we left the room (I don't think this is even readable, but from left to right Kanjani8-NEWS-ARASHI are scribbled all over it... as well as random vocab from a textbook some of us use LOL)!
And with THAT my weekend was over ♥
Hiroshima Green Arena

Walking distance from Yokogawa Station, so that's what
likeafox and I did. Our advice on how to get there: follow trams, rivers and SMAP. Which we decided should be a Simon & Garfunkel song title: Trams, rivers & SMAP.
Literally though, we followed the tram (trolley) line from the station for awhile-- guided onwards by SMAP ads on soda machines and billboards. We then hit a river and followed it until the arena was in sight lol.
You could also, you know, TAKE THE TRAM instead of following it. It only costs 150 yen. There's also a bus, but I don't know why you'd take the bus when the tram is cooler 8D
...However I'm cheap and like to wander around and get lost at the expense of other people's sanity, apparently XD
We got to the arena about 3 hours early (show starts a 2 PM, people are let into the arena at 1PM, and it was about 11 AM). There are many buildings associated with that complex but it's pretty obvious which one is the concert arena XD
When we got there the goods line was already out of the lower lobby area and up around the main walkway. We stood in line for an hour+. I only bought the group clearfile for myself, but bought the hatpin for Rosa who hadn't made it to the arena yet and wouldn't have time to stand in line for goods.
Because there are so many buildings in the complex there were other events going on that day: baseball game, seminar thing for young salarymen or something, kendo(?) match. It was highly amusing to watch as other groups tried to figure out what was going on and why there was a huge line for something. The young salarymen were especially amused- and very fun to watch too as they walked through a sea of ladies lol. They were obviously enjoying themselves.
There were very few scalpers and they were being quiet in a corner by themselves instead of bugging people, which amazed me XD
When it came time to go in... They didn't check names on tickets and let people flow into the arena pretty easily. My friend was going to check her camera but then they didn't even notice it. I checked mine because all I had was a tote bag and they would have seen it pretty easily.
They WERE a bit picky over the size of your uchiwa though- nothing could be sticking out the side. I had to pull the "u" of my "WISH" in some people they didn't approve of it sticking out. They came around checking while everyone was waiting to be let in.
Once in the arena it was pretty easy to take out your cellphone and take pictures before the show started and a lot of people (myself included) did so but Rosa was surprised- she got in trouble for doing that in the Green Arena during a KAT-TUN concert this summer. They seemed really lax for this show though. BTW, by "trouble" I mean someone came and told her pictures were prohibited and if they saw her doing it again they'd take her phone, haha.

Our first view while walking.

Part of the line for goods, going down to the lower level.

General crowd on the lower level.

Hard to see, but a mom had given her kid a little homemade "NEWS" outfit---!

Lower level lit up, after the concert finished.
General

Here's my recreation of how the hall looked XD
Dark blue areas are the stage and path ways. Neon green is where the truck/carts went. The maroon 's' mark seating areas. The one row of seats between the stage and where the trucks went in the stands has actually 2 rows of seats. The higher stands had I'm not sure how many rows... 13 or so maybe? Obviously the number of s's here is just random lol.
The pinky-purple stars were my seats ♥
In the first show I was actually in the furthest back row possible, but my view of the main stage was amazing which was really exciting because they dance there a lot. Those were Rosa's tickets. My tickets were for the second show, we were the second row of the "E" stands which mean our back was the gap where the truck/carts went through. Massu, Tegoshi and Shige went by us and were SO CLOSE *W* Tegomasu were always facing the higher stands so never saw us but Shige looked at us :D And really, if they came by the stage near us they were literally like 5-6 feet away *W*

My view during the first show.

My view during the second show.
Just some general/random notes:
♠ The juniors dancing were M.A.D. and They 武道 (budou). Rosa and I had never heard of They Shidou- they danced in Oita too though... I'm really bad with Juniors D:
&spages; The band was FiVE and during the applause for FiVE the screens showed information about FiVE's upcoming concerts.
♠ Shige's tambourine for his solo was different from the Fukui one. At Fukui (and I believe Sendai) he had an adorable star shaped tambourine. At Hiroshima it was a plain circle one.
♠ There was a lot of minor song additions and subtractions, even more than Oita (and even more during the Sunday shows from what I hear!).
♠ No flying.
♠ Fire that shoots during Bambina could be felt all the way up in the stands across the arena XD;
♠ Manners were really good. I thought so myself, the boys were all smiles and looking on mixi after the concert I didn't see anyone complaining about manners like they usually do. It was all really nice!
♠ The call for an encore was really weak both times though D: I was screaming my lungs off but there were a lot of people just sitting quietly and waiting for an encore. Those fans really annoying me -__- They won't come out for an encore if you sit there quietly!
♠ I saw three people with Uchi uchiwa and one with Kusano... and I wasn't even looking for them, haha. Plus I had a KKK one ♥ Two people with big (and pretty) homemade Uchi uchiwa were seated right where Ryo stopped and stood during EASY COME, EASY GO. I wish I could read mines 89
♠ During the first show Tegoshi's hair looked almost exactly like Uchi's did a few months ago and I seriously almost mistook him for Uchi a few times. During the second show he had his bangs and front hair pinned back in a kind of badass style.

Tickets ♥
NEWS winter Party Diamond :: Hiroshima 12.13.2008 2PM show
♣ Happy Birthday
♣ weeeek
♣ Akaku moyuru taiyou
ROSA AND I SCREAMED OUR HEADS OFF WHEN THIS CAME ON. I will never forget that moment, lol. We thought maybe NEWS had made the expected big change the setlist. They just made small changes though haha ♥
♣ Hadashi no Cinderella boy
More screaming~
♣ SUMMER TIME
Greetings
Shige shocks everyone, saying "Well that was the last show of the NEWS winter party diamond!" and the audience yells 'EHHHH~~'.
Massu yelled to the audience super excitedly asking if we're "genki" (energetic) and then replies calmly "I'm good too".
HELLO, RYO lol. He was realllllllly hyper giving his introduction.
Tegoshi gets different sections of the audience to cheer at different times.
♣ why
Right before this started Rosa turned to me and whispered "Massu messed up SO BAD in Oita" and we laughed as we watched for the pool break... Massu messed up again! Not "really" bad but it was undoubtedly messed up. Shige was kind of grinning when he first came out. There then seemed to be some mic trouble when Koyama and Yamapi sung, but only for a brief moment.
From our seats you could see Yamapi and Koyama's side very well ♥
♣ Bambina
During why they all dance on the main stage and then for Bambina they slowly head, with Tegoshi in the lead, to the center stage. So they start on the main stage and migrate to the center by the end of the song.
♣ Say Hello
Chairs and canes rise out from the center of center stage to start this song, and are used in the dance.
♣ Party Time
♣ Shalala Tambourine
When I saw this in Fukui I didn't get the impression it was live and thought it was lipsynced. It might have been but this time was totally live and was AWESOME ♥♥ People like to whine about how Shige can't sing, and I won't deny that, but he can sing the songs he wrote for himself amazingly ♥
Normally this solo is hard to see because it takes place on the upper part of the main stage the whole time but our seats were awesome 8D
♣ Ai no Matador
♣ Masuperman
GODDAMMIT! says the text by animated!comic!Massu and this song starts. Awesome song~
♣ I ZA NA I ZU KI
Tegoshi was near us :D
I love screaming when Shige does "kuchizuke wo~"!
♣ Taiyou no Namida
♣ Hoshi wo Mezashite
♣ Easy Come, Easy Go
On three of the hanamichi they do little group dances. Two groups of Juniors and one of NEWS. NEWS messed up XD
MC----!
Koyama starts it off telling everyone the opening footage was filmed by Tackey. The audience claps in applause to that and NEWS seems surprised. They said they'd pass the clapping on to Tackey.
At the very beginning there was some confusion by Shige about Massu's outfit. He had his usual suspenders on but Shige was laughing and pointing at them like "Is that your underwear?". Apparently you could see Massu's underwear in the gap between his t-shirt and where the pants start of the suspenders started. Massu then was fixing his shirt on his right side (where Shige was) and then on the left side Tegoshi suddenly leans over and pulls Massu's pants out a bit to look for himself and proceeds to EXPLODE in laughter (that 8DDDDD laughing face Tegoshi makes). Shige started laughing more too, watching Tegoshi.
Koyama(?) or maybe Yamapi, starts saying "That's not something to be laughing so much about!!" and Tegoshi replies "But they say 'Taka'!!!!" cracking up. ...and the rest of NEWS' resolve not to laugh seemed to break after that. XDD
They then start talking about nicknames. Apparently Tegoshi has been calling Massu "Taka" lately so Massu decided to call Tegoshi "Yuya" in response. Massu thinks it's weird to be called Taka, so Shige asks "What are you called at home?" and Massu's like "...Taka" and they all laugh like "WHAT'S THE ISSUE THEN XD" But apparently Tegoshi doesn't really say "Taka" he says like "TAKA", making it really sharp like it's a foriegn word/name or something. Massu likes the soft round sound a the Japanese pronounciation of "Taka".
They continue the talk about names and someone asks Koyama what he's called at home. Koyama says it's normally "Kei". He mentions that his mother almost named him Momotaro and the members laughed about this a lot, they can't imagine a Johnny being called Momotaro. Koyama says he's glad he got the name he got. However the other members think Johnny would like the name. And then instead of a diamond for their opening they'd have a giant peach (referencing the fairy tale of Momotaro). Shige then started saying "And someone would be the dog..." but none of the other members go along with it (more Momotaro fairy tale stuff).
Because they had all been saying "Kei", Massu suddenly sung out part of a "K" song (really well too!). This led to people telling Koyama to sing a K song, Ryo particularly was trying to get Koyama to sing it. He never did. Koyama then says he likes names with one character, liek "Ryo" or "Jun".
Yamapi also talks about the names his parents were considering for him: Yuya, Yusuke or Yuuta. The audience "oooh"ed at this but Yamapi recently mentioned it in his Jweb so I'm not sure why they were so surprised XD Hearing that Tegoshi would think Yamapi was stealing his name, but Yamapi reminds everyone he was born first. Tegoshi apologized, laughing, with a bow XD
Massu then rambled for awhile how even when someone's a baby you can just have a feel of what they'll turn out like and what name would be good, and then that kid grows up with a sense of "My name is ___" and that probably effects the way they grow up.
They, though mainly Koyama, talked about how they don't really have any sense of being in Hiroshima yet. They arrived the morning of the shows and haven't seen anything outside yet- besides Hiroshima Castle which they saw from their bus.
They talk about Massu's rescue show some. He talks about how Nakamaru's character is the type to act right away while Massu's is hesitant to do things. Ryo was asking if they go rescue dogs and things XD The conversation then turns to how emotional a rescue job is and they ask Massu: "If you had to choose between saving Tegoshi or three people you didn't know, who would you save?". Massu seemed really awkward in response to that and was just like "........." and then Shige's like "OK what if you had to choose between your lover and all the people here?". The members didn't like this second question and made fun of Shige for being 'off' today- the scale of his question was too big. They then decide to turn the question back on Shige and he says he'd rescue his lover, she might be in the audience right now XDD Some people yelled happily at this and Koyama was like "The only people screaming at that are your fans, Shige..."
Massu says all this talk reminds him of a question he hates, when asked what he'd want his last meal to be. NEWS cracks up wondering what that topic has to do with anything but they decide to go with it.
Massu says he doesn't like it because if you knew you were going to die then is that the kind of time to be worrying about what to eat? Shouldn't you be dealing with the bigger problem? How can he know what he'd want? Ryo says that if you knew the world was going to end the next day or something, you might as well give up and eat. They try to explain to Massu it's just in theory and someone says "When asked that you can just say 'nikuman [meat bun]' or something" and Massu says "I'd say 'gyoza'".
Yamapi then says like Ryo seems like the kind of guy who'd want something fancy for his last meal, like sea urchin. Ryo says that's not true, he'd want something he eats all the time. SO Yamapi then decide Shige seems like he'd want sea urchin and they all start saying "Seems like sea urchin" over and over again until Shige's like "HEY, STOP SAYING THAT ALREADY".
Talk goes back to the topic of what Ryo would want for his last meal. He has the members guess. Since Ryo said something he eats a lot they start naming stuff: Karaage, yakiniku, yakitori, ramen, rice, yakisoba, etc etc. Ryo gets more and more passionate with his "Wrong! Wrong! WRONG!" each time. Eventually he gets flustered and like "Why don't you guys know!?!?" and Yamapi's like "We've named everything you eat!" and Ryo's like "Wrong!!" and Koyama says yakisoba for a second time and Ryo cuts him off like "No!!" XDD He was fully yelling "Chigau! Chigau!" over and over again.
Eventually they give up and have Ryo tell them: he says he'd want to eat his mother's cooking for his last meal. Cue a group "Ooooooooooh!!!". They then decide that's the best answer and criticize Massu for giving a stupid answer like "gyoza". Massu then says that in his head he had meant "gyoza made by my mom" but NEWS jokingly fuss at him saying "You didn't say that!" or "If you thought it why didn't you say it!".
They realize Tegoshi hasn't been talking much- just zoning out and laughing. Shige then announces he has a story to tell about Tegoshi XD When they were coming to the arena from the airport they took a bus, and when Tegoshi got on he went straight for the priority seating and sat right in the middle of those seats. Priority seating is for the elderly, sick, people with a broken leg, pregnant, etc... apparently Shige(or someone else) commented about it to Tegoshi and so Tegoshi then stood up, and moved to... another area of priority seats and sat there lol. Tegoshi argues that if someone came that needed the priority seats he'd get up and move.
Right before Yamapi and Koyama left, they taught the audience one part of the dance to Ginza Rhapsody ♥ It’s a dance during the “ting ting ting tinggg” part- if that makes sense? During the song every now and then in the background you hear a ting-ting-ting-tinggg and there’s a hand movement that goes to that.
Shige (?) then brought up Ryusei no Kizuna, and they all start talking about it some. Ryo says they've finished filming and then asks the audience if they saw the live acting the night before. The audience doesn't respond much and Ryo's like "DID YOU SEE IT?" and everyone's like "..." and Ryo's like "YOU DIDN'T?", audience "...", and this went back and forth for awhile until Ryo says "WHICH~~~?! DID IT AIR IN HIROSHIMA??". Ryo was seriously yelling, it was funny :D I didn't see it because I was on a bus to Hiroshima... lol.
Tegoshi talked about his movie a little bit and said they already started filming. There's a translator who translates what the director said for him.
As the MC ended Shige started to walk off stage but Tegoshi was kind of in his way so he kicked Tegoshi lightly in the butt and was like "Let's go". XD

This got the audience screaming, lol.
♣ SUMMER TIME
Massu and Koyama are in the back of the group when they do a kind of fountain... line dance... thing. At any rate, they were goofing off in the back a bit here.
Greetings
Shige goes first with the same line as the first show, saying "Well that was the last show of the NEWS winter party diamond!" and the audience yells 'EHHHH~~'. He then yells at the audience "Can you party!?" and of course everyone is like "Yeah!!!"
Massu yelled to the audience super excitedly asking if we're "genki" (energetic) and then replies calmly "I'm good too".
At the very end of his introduction Koyama said "I'll heal any of your wounds" sexily getting a lot of screams. Yamapi introduced himself next saying "Koyama stole my line!"
Tegoshi went last and talked cutely like a baby- saying how he loved the audience and had been waiting to meet them.
♣ why
Massu didn't mess up on the break! There was some confusion/giggling between Ryo and Tegoshi right before the lights went on them and Tegoshi had a grin on his face as he sang and Ryo acted all serious (Ryo was on the couch, Tegoshi on the couch arm... I suspect Ryo pushed Tegoshi off the main part of the couch so he could sit there. I'm not sure though).
♣ Bambina
♣ Say Hello
OH RYO. HAHA. During this song they dance with chairs, standing on them at once point. Standing and dancing and singing on chairs on a moving platform seems pretty difficult and is screaming for an accident and this time Ryo almost had one. As they first stood up on the chairs, or did some kind of dance on them, Ryo suddenly slipped/got unbalanced and was LITERALLY about to fall straight down. But he then grabbed Shige's arm (Shige was the next person to Ryo's right) and you could tell Ryo was REALLY grabbing it. Like, holding on for dear life to Shige's arm XD My friend and I screamed like "OMG RYO O__o" at the same time but within the second it took Shige to suddenly freak and turn to see what was happening and why someone grabbed his arm, Ryo had already gotten back upright again. You could then see Ryo apologizing and Shige waved his hand like 'Oh no no, it's cool'.
♣ Party Time
♣ Shalala Tambourine
Right as the song started Shige sang "Shala Shala" before suddenly started off stronger and singing "Shalala lala tambourine ga..." like he was having an issue with his voice. And later in the song he didn't sing the second half of a line for some reason, he like stumbled on a word and then just let the line end or something, lol. But it was totally live and sounded A+++ ♥
♣ Ai no Matador
♣ Masuperman
This time around I watched the screen the entire time to read the lyrics. Love this song so much ♥
♣ I ZA NA I ZU KI
Koyama stood on the platform RIGHT IN FRONT OF US. Like... 4 feet away from us *w* He gave an adorable wink to a girl in the row in front of us but never looked directly at me t__t Oh well ♥
♣ Taiyou no Namida
as I ZA NA I ZU KI ended they all walked towards the back center stage to start Taiyou no Namida. Shige and Koyama came from the same side so were standing next to each other for TnN... and as the group dance started they exchanged a look, a smile, and then a high five. It was painfully cute and more than a little BFF's forevaaaaa-ish ♥ lol
♣ Hoshi wo Mezashite
♣ Gan gan ganbatte
Yay, they brought this song back ♥ Dance is too cute. Fist pumping for "Gan gan ganbatte", waving your hand out in front during "kimi ni ageru", hitch hiking them back over your shoulder for "come on, come on"... etc
MC----!
Talk during the second MC started with a discussion of Shige's appearance on Shonen Club Premium! Massu brought it up, I forget why, but they started talking about how Shige's "elite". Massu said as he watched it he understood it all- because he knows Shige personally, but he worried if someone didn't like Shige in the first place and saw that they'd be like "What's WITH this guy!" and not like him. Shige seemed really embarrased(?)/I-know,-I-know about it. He explained how it's a story of his career how he started really elite and cocky, then debuted as NEWS and was put back and has since grown as that into his normal self now. However... apparently almost all of that second half was cut leaving nothing but that bad part XDDD (NEWS found this hysterical) Massu keeps trying to reemphasize how elite Shige had been on SCP and how it was amazing to watch because Taichi was totally going along with it and enjoying it. Koyama then started to say something to try and defend Shige but Shige cut him off saying "I bet you didn't even see it! [SCP]" but Koyama was like "I did!!". It seems only Massu and Koyama saw it though, as no one else chimed in.
At one point Yamapi explains how Shige's junior days were elite really directly, as if trying to make sure the audience understands or possible trying to make sure he understands... lol. Shige got accepted - had work soon after in Okinawa, Hawaii and such - got put in a junior group - got to be in a daytime drama - got to be in Kinpachi - got to be on the Ya-ya-yah! show - got to debut in NEWS. [And yes, they name the Ya-ya-yah! show directly]
Now that Shige's junior days have come up, everyone had something to say about their own. Yamapi, Koyama and Massu insisted their junior days were anything but elite. Yamapi commented that with one of his auditions he was with three other boys and they were all called for a second round except for him. He joined at age 11- hardly getting any work and most of the Juniors were older than him and kind of scary. He really lived out in the country and it'd take and hour and a half by train to get to and from work. He took it alone most of the time, and sometimes cried.
Massu comments that when he joined he got work right away- backdancing at a KinKi Kids' concert in Tokyo Dome. He explains he was kind of inside the outer circle walk area dancing with about 1,000 other Juniors.
....NEWS explodes in laughter and criticism: "ONE THOUSAND??" "There were NOT 1,000 Juniors" etc etc
Eventually Ryo(?) said "Maybe around 200 juniors?" and Massu continues his story "Yeah, so I was backdancing with 200 other juniors for KinKi Kids..." and Ryo laughs saying 200 is only a fifth of the original number Massu said XDD
Tegoshi asks Massu which song it was and Massu says "Cinderella Christmas" which gets some "Ooooo" from the audience. Ryo and Tegoshi then start commenting about what outfit it must have been ("You had a green shirt? That one?" etc) for a bit.
Massu continues that after that he didn't get stuff for awhile and he was backdancing for a long time. He remembers seeing Shige taking leave from work for school or coming in late because he was busy with school... and Massu resented it like "But I NEVER do that!!" and explains he always ran straight from school or work. [Massu never was taking leave or anything but Shige was still getting more work, promotion, etc... is what Massu's complaint is XD]
They talk about their performance on FNS a bit. Massu went to that performance from drama filming and everyone (drama staff etc) said they were going to watch so Massu was like "All right, gotta do my best!". However, he complains/comments he had almost no screentime and kept being cut away from XDD Shige adds to this saying that when his solo came the camera zoomed AWAY. Koyama argues the staff just wanted to try and show everyone and the big Christmas tree in the background but Massu & Shige still seem sad (lol).
Massu then changes the topic to Koyama by saying "I remember when I first saw Koyama. Myself and a bunch of other juniors were seriously practicing our dance and then suddenly this blond hip [charai] guy comes in all like 'Sup guys! Sup!'" and we were like "Er, WHO are you???" NEWS are all laughing XD
Koyama explains [like he did in his SCP] that when he was going for Johnny's he held this image of them as blond kind of hip guys. So he bleached his hair, wore fake earrings and styled his walk. He demonstrates his walk: one hand kind of on his pocket and legs going dramatically forward when walking... kind of like any wannabe 'gangsta' kid walks lol
Koyama talks about that a bit more about how he joined late ("Around 17 or 18?" he says and Shige's like "You were 17 right?") and ends up saying how he didn't have elite days as a Junior again though.
Massu, however, doesn't agree with that LOL he's like "Koyama, you were elite~" and Koyama's like "Huh? No I wasn't" and then Massu made this face like 'why would you try and argue this with me' and then blurts out "I BACK DANCED FOR YOU". NEWS is cracking up now and Koyama's like "Huh? When?" and Massu's like "SENNEN NO LOVE SONG".
........you then see a little gear click in Koyama's head and he's like "OHHHH" and starts laughing. Tegoshi was DYING of laughter, Shige was laughing, Massu was trying really hard to keep a straight face, Yamapi had a huge grin and Ryo was........
.........sitting on the backstage away from everyone drinking water, lol. He had been coughing a LOT during the show and seemed to have gotten a cough attack during the MC so went and sat in the back as all this talk continued.
Someone asked Tegoshi what his Junior days were like and Shige & Massu were immediately like "O.M.G." and started running their mouths lol. Shige says he remembers when he first met Tegoshi, all the sudden one day on the Ya-ya-yah! show there was this kid backdancing for him he didn't know. And then the kid had choreography that made him dance in FRONT of Shige. On top of that the kid was good at singing. Shige says straight out "Tegoshi, I hated you" and the audience immediately screams "EHHHHH" and Tegoshi is smiling (HAHAH oh Tego). Shige continues explaining that he hated Tegoshi for being so good and comments like "But oh well, he's a good guy" and Tegoshi was grinning. Shige then goes on to say how Tegoshi called him "Shige" from the very beginning, which was also annoying. Tegoshi argues that he always watched the Ya-ya-yah! show so he was used to seeing Shige and when he met him he already felt like he knew him. He also adds he always thought Shige was cool on TV and when they actually met Shige really was.
Massu then chimes in to tell his first meeting with Tegoshi, since he had a name issue too. Massu talked about this during Tegomasu's Miso Soup appearance on Music Fighter before, I think. Anyway... Massu was backstage in TV Tokyo for the Ya-ya-yah! show and all the sudden this random kid [Tegoshi] comes up to him saying "Oh hey Massu! Could you do blahblahblahblah for me? Yeah? Thanks" and walked off. Massu then puts on a really strained thinking hard face to imitate his reaction to Tegoshi saying all that: "....um, but, WHO ARE YOU!?!??!".
Tegoshi didn't try and defend this in anyway, I assume his excuse would be the same as before with Shige though 'I saw you on tv so felt like we were friends'.Tegoshi might have been a creepy child lol.
For some reason they then start talking about Yamapi's butt XD I'm seriously not sure how this started. I think because they had been talking about their time as Juniors.
Shige brought up that Yamapi was in that drama kabachitare and his butt was filmed. Shige says it was cute XDDD
Yamapi is obviously embarrassed and talks about how back then he hated being called cute & such and then got a role like that.... Shige insists it was cute, to the point Koyama's like "Shige that's disgusting XDD" and everyone's laughing. Shige then explains that back then when he was backdancing for Yamapi he'd dance thinking "That's that butt..." and Ryo's like "No way, you just made that up!" but Ryo had been sitting down resting until a moment before so didn't have his mic up when he said it and Koyama was like "Ryo- mic lol"
Embarrassed Yamapi ♥
Not right after this I think, I don't remember when, but Tegoshi's hair is discussed. I mentioned it before but his bangs are pulled up & back loosely and pinned there, almost a greaser looking style. Shige says proudly that he styled that ♥ Tegoshi had come up to him saying he wanted a "wild" and "manly" hairstyle so Shige gave this one a try.
However... Shige is annoyed because even though Tegoshi asked for that kind of hairstyle he then proceeded to talk like a baby during the introductions- saying "Aitakachuu~" [Aitakatta, I missed everyone] "Daichuki" [Daisuki, I love you] etc. Talking like that while having a wild manly hairstyle totally ruins the point!- is Shige's argument.
Tegoshi explains that he hadn't been thinking of that, and when they do introductions words just come out. Koyama (and Yamapi?) were agreeing. Koyama says it's actually really hard to do introductions and they have to think a lot about what they should say. Yamapi then commented Koyama stole his line during the introductions to the second show and Koyama apologies but Yamapi's like "Whatever, just gotta think of something else XD".
Because Tegoshi had been talking the camera during the MC was on his face and Tegoshi suddenly wrinkled his eyebrows and made a serious face. The lighting was amazing and made his eyes glitter and the shadows on his face look really awesome. With his 'wild' hairstyle, gleaming eyes and shadowed face he looked really badass XD Someone (Shige?) started commenting like "Tegoshi's face is amazing!" and everyone started looking so Tegoshi kept changing it a bit. Massu then said "Let's see if Koyama can do it" and which took Koyama by surprise and suddenly the camera was zoomed in on his face--- he was blushing! XDD♥ He then made a poor attempt to make a face and ended up making a kissy mouth and NEWS was just dying of laughter. Koyama commented even though he's 24 his face just isn't deep like Tegoshi's. Everyone was discussing this and then Shige (and Tegoshi & Ryo, possibly) were like "WOA MASSU" and the camera jumped to him but Massu had already stopped. Apparently Massu had been making an amazing face, but he wouldn't do it now that the camera was on him. Ryo kept yelling at Massu to do it and Massu was like "No! No! ...Seriously, stop it, no!"
MASSU WAS HONESTLY STRAIGHT UP EMBARRASSED. It got increasingly adorable as the other NEWS members kept fussing at him to make the face because Massu started turning really red and then (seeing himself blushing on the big screen) turned away from the camera so you could only see the back of his head. He soon turned back around though with his NEWS towel over the lower half of his face. The audience was screaming now (because it was really cute) and Ryo started saying "Massu, you're cute" over and over again. OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Like, I was seriously wondering if Ryo had totally gone delirious from his cold or something LOL. He wouldn't stop saying it and you could tell it was just making Massu more embarrassed and flustered XD At the end Ryo kept saying "Massuuuu look at me! Look at me!" and when Massu finally did Ryo mouthed something to him with his mic down (so I missed what it was ;___;), I was told by someone later they think Ryo said "I'm kidding [so don't worry about it]" ♥
As Koyama and Yamapi leave to prepare for Ginza Rhapsody they left saying "We're not trying to be elite here, but we have to go get ready everyone!" lol.
Ryo, Shige, Tegoshi and Massu are left. Shige comments everyone here has done a stage play alone but Ryo, so asks Ryo what he'd say if he was told to do one. Ryo says he's not yet ready to do a stage play on his own.
At some point they started talking about "CALL" and how it's similar to the suspense kind of thing LOSS TIME LIFE was. Tegoshi comments he really liked LOSS TIME LIFE and was emotionally touched by it.
Massu advertisizes his RESCUE drama. Ryo advertises that there's only one more episode of Ryusei no Kizuna left so watch it-- and then runs back stage. Tegoshi's like "Eh?" at Ryo leaving. Shige gets Tegoshi to advertise his movie and then Shige comments that he did the photography for the postcard goods that will be sold for Koyama's play. He says they turned out really good so he'd like everyone to buy them and Tegomasu mock Shige a bit at saying his own photography is really good XD
I thought the remaining three were about to leave at this point, because Shige had gone over to the far side of the stage, but then Shige suddenly says "And Yamashita's got a drama too" and Yamapi (from the upper chest up) suddenly pops out of the hole he's in (to pop up at the beginning of Ginza Rhapsody). Audience SCREAMS lol. Shige(?) hands Yamapi his mic and Yamapi advertises his Code Blue special and then comments "I will be appearing from here in just a few moments~~" and disappears again.
TegoMasuShige then talked for a few moments and suddenly Koyama popped up from his side XD You could only see him from the upper chest up though, like Yamapi. He advertised his play CALL and asked everyone to come see it, commented he'd be coming up from that side, and the disappeared. As TegoMasuShige tried to wrap up the MC Koyama kept popping out again and Tegoshi was like "So next is Koyamapi, I have NO IDEA where they're going to appear from though" and Koyama was popped out again XDD
At the point the MC ended. I was honestly really sad Yamapi didn't pop out from the floor again. I could tell he had had a blast during the first half of the concert, he was all smiles and then he had talked a lot during the MC too. So I was hoping he was in a good enough mood to be his silly self and pop out again but I guess not ;___; ...is what I was thinking as the MC ended....
Second half
♣ GINZA RHAPSODY
Red lights turn on the right side of the stage and the epic dance music turns on. Out pops Yamapi in a burst of red light and smoke and... the audience is SCREAMING. I had been looking directly at the stage so couldn't see to well so immediately glanced to the screens to see Yamapi: grinning and holding a paper cup over each eye "Yama" & "P".
HE HADN'T POPPED OUT AGAIN DURING THE MC BECAUSE HE WAS GETTING READY FOR THAT. omg Yamapi T____T♥
Anyway, he flung the cups away after a moment and continued with the normal awesome badass Ginza Rhapsody intro dance. The gap between goofy Yamapi with his paper cups and amazing dancer Yamapi is beautiful ♥ haha

Wow were they ever high strung for this performance. They were really hyper! At one point in the middle of the song Koyama even got Massu to laugh crazily/evilly into the mic. Tegoshi got on top of Koyama instead of Koyama on top of Tegoshi XD
♣ BEACH ANGEL
I'm pretty sure it was this song, but I can't remember the song XD All I know is that it was an originally 8 NEWS song, towards the end, where everyone was running around the stands and stuff giving autographs. So it must have been this one, I just can't remember...
ANYWAY, there was a really weird moment. I could have sworn I heard Uchi's line sung by Uchi--- but everyone was singing live (at least in the solo lines, I'm not sure about the chorus). I assume it was Koyama (who sounds like Uchi sometimes) but then before I could even figure out what was going on no one was singing and the music was just playing for a 10-15 seconds LOL ...suddenly Ryo starts up in the middle of a line HAHA. Pretty sure Tegoshi was so busy waving to people (he was on a truck in the stands) that he just totally forgot to sing and Ryo filled in for him.

likeafox - thank you for letting me drag you with me all the way to Hiroshima! ♥ FERDINAND. RYO MAKES ME EAT DEER FEED. SLEEPING WITH MASSU. ELITEST TO HIPPIES. DRINKING BEFORE GETTING ON THE MOVING THING WITHOUT BATHROOMS. NAME DROPPING BAKANISHI & NOTTI. LIKE KOYAMA, BUT RUN OVER MY A TRAM. FAIRY. I SAW BEAUTIFUL THINGS IN HIROSHIMA, BUT SADLY WASN'T TOUCHED. Thank youuuuu for the memories!
Personal note: From this concert on it's a straight dash into 2009 for me and I'm extremely busy! As each day passes I check more and more things that have to be done before the end of 2008 off my list and it's amazing how crazy everyday is. A day really is a long time, you can do a lot!
I actually have a billion other things I wanted to post on but I guess they'll have wait until 2009 ;D I'm going to be gone from the 20th until 2009: hiatus~ of sorts. With the Hiroshima performances that's it for the NEWS concerts I'm going to this tour but I'll be at the opening show of Uchi and his rock buddies XDDD on the 19th in Yokohama. I don't know if I'll get to post a concert report for that though, before going on hiatus. I'll post one though, promise ♥ It just might not be until after New Years. At any rate, for now I just need to keep studying Kis-my-ft2 songs... reviewed the V.West stuff I have (& I'm already confident I'd recognize any NEWS or Kanjani8 songs) but I need to study Kisumai more before the con XD! Hopeful
alohdark can always help me with that stuff? ahah ♥
Please stay safe in the New Year everyone, I'll see you on the flip side!If not before ;D
& have a wonderful Christmas too ♥
daelite here!!!!!!!!

Uchiwa

After that I spent the afternoon giggling with my friends in the computer lab (by which I mean yelling random stuff across the room lol) and chatting with
Basically, I was in the BEST MOOD 8DDD
And thus, my adventure of epic sketch begun lol ♥
After bumming around campus until they kicked me and a few straggling Japanese students out I went and read about Shonentai scandals in the bookstore until 9PM when I met
............or not lol~
It was about then we realized we hadn't printed or even looked at the map of where our bus was going to pick us up.
........lol~ HAHHA. er,

While we tried to figure out what had gone wrong some random guy started trying to talk to us in English XDDD; So I called the bus company while
.....and they kept speaking in English and REDID their explanation, which wasn't even useful, and I ended up waving

We used the lobby as our base and I went to take a shower while
However as we were putting finishing touches on our uchiwa I ran into a problem.
...................................
........................................
........................................
....I needed to reglue the K's on my KKK uchiwa.
........................and I'm sorry but,
.........there's no way I'm pulling out a big fan that reads "KKK" on it while surrounded by nonJapanese people!!
In between shows I split with Rosa and rushed to the nearby 7-11 with
Went to show two~ (details below).

But a random guy got between myself and
...but at one point she turned to me like "daelite, daelite--!

And with this piece of cake, my fun filled weekend came to an end :(
.....so you would think!
But actually the next day (Monday) my friends were really kind ♥ I love you all! We all went to Lawson and bought a BUNCH of cake. A TON of cake. It felt like we were buying one of everything!

We then ate the cake while

Here's hangman Massu- with his new haircut!

And my piece of cake ♥
Did I mention we bought a ton of cake from Lawson and they all gave me the stickers?
I can get the blanket now ♥
Thank you, friends TT____TT

And this is the blackboard as we left the room (I don't think this is even readable, but from left to right Kanjani8-NEWS-ARASHI are scribbled all over it... as well as random vocab from a textbook some of us use LOL)!
And with THAT my weekend was over ♥
Hiroshima Green Arena

Walking distance from Yokogawa Station, so that's what
Literally though, we followed the tram (trolley) line from the station for awhile-- guided onwards by SMAP ads on soda machines and billboards.

♠ Fire that shoots during Bambina could be felt all the way up in the stands across the arena XD;

Tegoshi didn't try and defend this in anyway, I assume his excuse would be the same as before with Shige though 'I saw you on tv so felt like we were friends'.

♣ CHANGE THE WORLD
Wow were they ever high strung for this performance.

Hopeful
Please stay safe in the New Year everyone, I'll see you on the flip side!
& have a wonderful Christmas too ♥
