When I was in Book Off yesterday I saw the special set for the movie "Silver Season" and as soon as I picked it up to look at nostalgicly with that "Hey I remember this movie!" feeling. ...I then cracked up because that girl seriously looks like Kusano to me, I'm sorry. Ahhh, how amusing. *runs away before she's kicked*
And... I read the 3 magazines that came out last week... and am still laughing at popolo where Shige called Yamapi "The Statue of Liberty - Male version" .....I DIED OVER THIS FOR AWHILE, like "What the heck does that MEAN" but later I read Koyama's where he described Yamapi as "FREE!!" in English (er, katakana) and I got the connection. Everyone had been saying Yamapi's my pace & free, just Shige decided to word it as the State of Liberty. Because that's Jiyuu no Megamisama in Japanese. Jiyuu = freedom. THIS HIT ME FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE, I never thought of the translation of the State of Liberty as being kinda weird before. I mean, I guess liberty and freedom are the same... er. Freedom implies you can do anyone, like kill someone, but liberty is more like rights? I have no idea. Yamapi is the male version of the State of Liberty from forever more though- thank you Shige XD
Anyway, if you haven't had your fill of reports yet: NEWS Winter Party Diamond Oita Concerts--! MC's are decently interesting, but the yakiniku story during the first MC on Sunday is the must read. Must. LMAO. It's straight out of an American sitcom... just they're eating yakiniku XDD ......LMAO. ....OK I'll stop laughing at Shige's expense now. Everyone wants to see the pool contest(? LOL) on DVD but I'd rather see them describe that story XD

No major set list changes. Because there were several weeks between the Sapporo concerts and these ones, plus the album came out during those weeks, it was suspected there would be major changes but... not yet, apparently! However for some reason Kibou ~Yell~ and Mafuyu no Nagareboshi were not performed (it was at previous shows).
Koyama and Massu changed the lines for EASY COME, EASY GO a bit. Instead of saying "I confessed" (Kokuhaku shitan da) Massu says "I cut my hair" (Kaminoke kittan da) and Koyama replied "I can tell looking at your hair" (instead of face- the normal line).
Show was 2 hours 10~15 long (same as previous shows).
MC---!
There was apparently a lot of yelling from the audience during the MC. This is bad manners, don't do it T____T
Ryo talked a lot during this MC.
When NEWS arrived in Oita they were all excited because it was the first time they saw snow this winter. They weren't expecting there to be snow.
Koyama comments how close they are, because the venue is small.
They saw guys in the audience and Massu got only the male audience to yell "MASSU!". Massu then told a story about something that made him happy the other day-- he was walking down the street and a guy tapped his shoulder and told Massu he liked NEWS (Aww, haha).
Like in some previous MCs, Massu had his hands in his overalls which bothered Ryo who started saying "What are your hands doing!?" and such. At one point Massu started moving his hands and Ryo commented "Just what are you resucing there??" (talk rapidly turning dirty, lol). Massu said his overalls don't have pockets so what's he supposed to do- but they then discovered there WERE pockets (but they're really low on the pants?)... so Massu quickly moved his hands to them lol.
They talked about how Massu got his hair cut and dyed black for his drama role. He says himself he looks like a gorilla XD Shige says it'll take him time to get used to seeing the new hairstyle.
All the members except for Massu are the type who like to go home as soon as a photoshoot or filming is finished. However Massu likes to take his time and relax, then go home, after work is done. Nakamaru is the same way which seems to worry the staff for their drama XD Filming finishes and the two of them are still backstage eating or resting or whatever and the staff are like "Um... you have to be here tomorrow too.....". Massu comments NEWS goes home early, but his pace is the same as Nakamaru's.
Yamapi only saw commericials for USOUSO but Ryo saw the part where Tegoshi's character says to his brother "You finally called me by my name ♥". Tegoshi comments it was a lot of work and Shige emphasizes this saying the script was written in traditional up & down Japanese style.
Tegoshi talks about how the directer for his movie is American so you can't talk to him in Japanese XD
Katsumura who Yamapi starred with in Code Blue is a futsal friend of Tegoshi's.
Koyama says he went to Lawson's that morning and Tegoshi doesn't know what Lawson's promotion is going on right now XD Yamapi says the watch one, Shige says the warm up one (it's both lol).
This happened to Yamapi when he bought a hamburger recently.
Register girl: Um... are you Yamashita Tomohisa-san?
Yamapi: Yes, I am.
Register girl: I'm JK!
Yamapi: What's JK?
Register girl: Josei kousei (high school girl)!
Yamapi didn't get why she said "I'm a JK!" instead of like "I'm a fan of yours!" or something, and wonders if she was testing him to see if he knew what JK was.
Ryo comments Nino always has cards on the set for Ryusei no Kizuna.
Yamapi & Koyama leave... and Shige comments Koyama is a liar. He said in the press conference for CALL that he'd have Shige and Tegoshi help him with his lines, but they barely have. Shige then asks Tegoshi if the lines for his movie are in English and he replies yes. Massu comments that in Sweeden it was all English too but Tegoshi gets by somehow.
Massu is then left alone on stage and he bad talks Shige XDD In the recent WINK UP 10 questions it asked the NEWS members if they're generally cold or hot (samugariya, atsugariya). Everyone wrote they're generally hot, but Massu tells the audience Shige is generally cold but said hot to seem cool.

For some reason TAIYOU NO NAMIDA was added. Like in the first show, there was no performance of Kibou ~Yell~ or Mafuyu no Nagareboshi.
There were some serious issues with stand manners during this show. That's been a theme of You&J tours lately I think... -___-; At any rate, when Ryo was riding the little truck things through the stand audience people almost took the mic he had in his hand and apparently a lot of people were trying to through their towels at him (so they'd touch him) and he got hit in the face multiple times. One fan commented "After that he seemed to be in a bad mood"... I wonder why that could be -___-; Another explained the situation as Ryo got hit in the head once and made a face like "HAA??" and then proceeded to get hit at least 2 more times after that.

Shige was talking about how Tegoshi likes skulls but everyone was making fun of him because he talks TOO fast. But still, Yamapi and Koyama explained how Tegoshi's white shirt he was wearing actually had white skulls on it, his jacket had a skull on it, his necklace was a skull, his ring was a skull... LOL.
They started talking about a long jacket Tegoshi has (which I think also has skulls on it) and Koyama commented it'd be crazy if Massu wore it because it's so long... but Massu is taller than Tegoshi. Massu said "I'm not that short" and Koyama was kind of like "Eeh!? Oops XDD"
This lead to them talking about a jacket Koyama has that's really weird in color and reminds them of a space suit, but because he has good style it still looks good on him.
Since Ryo was excited to see his first snow of the season he opened the windows (of the car?) to take pictures and Yamapi started taking them too, claiming he's a photo taking addict. Shige seems to have brought this up saying "Nishikido, who never takes pictures, was taking pictures" and he argued it was because it was the first snow of the year for him. It hadn't even been snowing in Hokkaido during the Sapporo concerts.
Shige: It feels like we do countdown once a month (I think he meant to say they'll be doing it in one month)
Massu: Once a month?
Shige: Just ignore that and go with the flow of the convo ~__~
Koyama: Massu, what's the biggest news for you in this past year?
Shige: Isn't it this haircut!?
Koyama: What'd you say at the haircuttery to get it cut like this?
Massu: I said, please shave it.
Koyama: Shige, what's your biggest news of this year?
Shige: I did a solo show... but that's not interesting to talk about now. I went on a lot of trips.
Koyama: Tegoshi?
Tegoshi: Futsal became my job.
Shige and Koyama came out with the work they did in New York... one of the goods for Koyama's stage play is going to be post cards, and Shige was in charge of all the photography for that! I assume, then, that the postcards will have very New York-y backgrounds LOL.
Koyama said a few lines from his play CALL. Because the character is a really flashy guy the members joke Koyama doesn't have to do anything to create that character, it's him normally. Koyama admits it's easy XD Shige asked him how the play ends, but of course Koyama just replied he couldn't say that ;)
They started talking about how Yamapi wore shorts as his outfit back in the NEWS Nippon days. Yamapi commented "Please don't remember that lol". Even though their clothes are designed by the same person as back then, their outfits have gotten cooler. Shige comments that it must be calculated XD
Yamapi and Koyama leave.
Shige: Massu, will you grow your hair out again after your drama?
Ryo: Or go bald/shaved? Like EXILE?
Massu: Can I wear sunglasses? [like EXILE XDD]
Tegoshi advertises his movie, Massu the rescue drama, Ryo Ryusei no Kizuna, and Shige comments "I'm the only one without something to advertise....."
NEWS Winter Party Diamond Oita Concert 12.07.2008 First Show
Manners seemed better than Saturday shows, but still a ton of people were leaving their seats with the trucks came around.
Tegoshi and Ryo were really close, so close that people thought they were going to kiss, on the couch during why XD
MC---!
There was a sheet that said part of breakfast would be soup and Shige was looking forward to having some miso soup... but it was corn soup.
They brought up the fact there were more male fans at this tour than in the past and had them yell Yamapi's name but there was a mix of "Yamashita!" and "Yamapi!". Koyama was wondering which member had brought them male fans and Massu was like "Isn't it me? 8D"
During the introductions Tegoshi had said daichuki~ a cute version of daisuki (love). Shige commented there was no way he could ever say that so they made him say it.
The members had confusion over Oita's famous food "toriten". Massu commented "Isn't it like chicken tenpura?" and Ryo was commenting "So it's like karaage?"
Massu went to a salt onsen [hot spring].
The next story is about their dinner the night before (the evening of the 6th). They went out for yakiniku after the concerts.
Ryo, Yamapi, Tegoshi and Massu were at one table. KoyaShige at another.
Out at dinner, they ordered Korean nori [seaweed]. In yakiniku you order a bunch of different meat bits and cook them on a kind grill at the table usually, and you can order something like seaweed to wrap around the meat.
Anyways, they order Korean seaweed. Actually, Koyama ordered it. When it came he took a piece for himself and then passed another piece to Tegoshi. Tegoshi set that piece on his plate to eat, and Ryo stole it from him before he was able to eat it. Yamapi then opened the window (because yakiniku gets smokey). Wind blows in and the nori Ryo stole from Tegoshi blows off his plate----!! They look for it and it had blown onto the floor. Since it had been on the floor Ryo didn't want it anymore so gave it to Massu (LOL). Massu, not wanting the floor food either of course, passed it to Koyama hoping he'd deal with it (ROFL, TEGO). But Koyama had already saved a piece for himself.
So...... Koyama put it on Shige's plate. And Shige, who missed all this, saw it and thought "Koyama's so nice~!".
Shige procided to wrap his meat in the nori that Tegoshi had wanted to eat but Ryo stole and Yamapi's opened window blew on the floor which made Ryo give it to Massu who gave to Koyama who threw it out on Shige's plate. Shige wrapped his meat in that, then ate it, enjoying his meal like it was delicious. I'm sure it was delicious lol. But of course, seeing this, the other members laughed at Shige a lot. He didn't know why until the story came up in the MC. Apparently he had been wondering about it all night, even when they were in the bath. He had tried asking what was funny about it then but no one would tell him.
............................LMFAO. SHIGE, I'M SORRY HAHAHAHHAA.
Also, sometime during/right after this, Shige was going to say "Koyama and I..." and by accident he said "The Korean nori and I..." XDD
Randomly Massu commented the view from the yakiniku place was really pretty.
Towards the end only Shige and Massu were left and they called themselves Shigemasu XD

Massu completely failed at breaking during the pool part of why and his line about making excuses after that was hysterical in relation to that XD Shige had a hard time singing, a lot of the audience was laughing. Koyama and Yamapi changed their lines to critize Massu's mess up, and supposedly pointed at him XD

NEWS decide to all try and do the break for pool (there's a pool table used in WHY), whoever fails will have the punishment of removing their shirt during the second half of the concert XD This was in response to Massu's fail, though Massu kept arguing he's good at pool.
The order was Massu -> Ryo -> Tegoshi -> Koyama -> Yamapi -> Shige. Massu and Koyama broke the balls fine, Tegoshi got REALLY serious while doing it and did fine as well. Ryo messed up and seemed depressed afterwards, going up on the step area. Yamapi didn't even seem to want to do it, and messed up XD As soon as Yamapi messed up Koyama stepped between him and the camera (to cover Yamapi) and was like "Don't look! Yamapi's cool all the time, really!" and Massu joined in on this by stepping close to the camera and flashing a huge smile and peace signs XD
Shige was nervous to go last but Koyama reassured him the hurdle was set pretty low. Shige passed XD
So... it was just Yamapi and Ryo who failed at the break. It was then decided who would have the punishment by the crowd yelling/clapping. Ryo was saying "Yamapi has more muscle so go with him!!!" desperately and Yamapi commented that wasn't fair XD The first round it seemed like they had equal cheers so it was done again, and they decided it was Ryo who lost. So removed his shirt during code XD
After Koyama and Yamapi left Shige brought up that the opening was filming by Takki. They then started talking about the album and Massu said he just heard MURARISUTO recently for the first time XD They asked the audience what song from the album was good and they said MURARISUTO so Ryo was like "Why don't you sing it?". Shige said "I think we'll sing it at some arena~"

They started talking about a long jacket Tegoshi has (which I think also has skulls on it) and Koyama commented it'd be crazy if Massu wore it because it's so long... but Massu is taller than Tegoshi. Massu said "I'm not that short" and Koyama was kind of like "Eeh!? Oops XDD"
This lead to them talking about a jacket Koyama has that's really weird in color and reminds them of a space suit, but because he has good style it still looks good on him.
Since Ryo was excited to see his first snow of the season he opened the windows (of the car?) to take pictures and Yamapi started taking them too, claiming he's a photo taking addict. Shige seems to have brought this up saying "Nishikido, who never takes pictures, was taking pictures" and he argued it was because it was the first snow of the year for him. It hadn't even been snowing in Hokkaido during the Sapporo concerts.
Shige: It feels like we do countdown once a month (I think he meant to say they'll be doing it in one month)
Massu: Once a month?
Shige: Just ignore that and go with the flow of the convo ~__~
Koyama: Massu, what's the biggest news for you in this past year?
Shige: Isn't it this haircut!?
Koyama: What'd you say at the haircuttery to get it cut like this?
Massu: I said, please shave it.
Koyama: Shige, what's your biggest news of this year?
Shige: I did a solo show... but that's not interesting to talk about now. I went on a lot of trips.
Koyama: Tegoshi?
Tegoshi: Futsal became my job.
Shige and Koyama came out with the work they did in New York... one of the goods for Koyama's stage play is going to be post cards, and Shige was in charge of all the photography for that! I assume, then, that the postcards will have very New York-y backgrounds LOL.
Koyama said a few lines from his play CALL. Because the character is a really flashy guy the members joke Koyama doesn't have to do anything to create that character, it's him normally. Koyama admits it's easy XD Shige asked him how the play ends, but of course Koyama just replied he couldn't say that ;)
They started talking about how Yamapi wore shorts as his outfit back in the NEWS Nippon days. Yamapi commented "Please don't remember that lol". Even though their clothes are designed by the same person as back then, their outfits have gotten cooler. Shige comments that it must be calculated XD
Yamapi and Koyama leave.
Shige: Massu, will you grow your hair out again after your drama?
Ryo: Or go bald/shaved? Like EXILE?
Massu: Can I wear sunglasses? [like EXILE XDD]
Tegoshi advertises his movie, Massu the rescue drama, Ryo Ryusei no Kizuna, and Shige comments "I'm the only one without something to advertise....."
NEWS Winter Party Diamond Oita Concert 12.07.2008 First Show
Manners seemed better than Saturday shows, but still a ton of people were leaving their seats with the trucks came around.
Tegoshi and Ryo were really close, so close that people thought they were going to kiss, on the couch during why XD

There was a sheet that said part of breakfast would be soup and Shige was looking forward to having some miso soup... but it was corn soup.
They brought up the fact there were more male fans at this tour than in the past and had them yell Yamapi's name but there was a mix of "Yamashita!" and "Yamapi!". Koyama was wondering which member had brought them male fans and Massu was like "Isn't it me? 8D"
During the introductions Tegoshi had said daichuki~ a cute version of daisuki (love). Shige commented there was no way he could ever say that so they made him say it.
The members had confusion over Oita's famous food "toriten". Massu commented "Isn't it like chicken tenpura?" and Ryo was commenting "So it's like karaage?"
Massu went to a salt onsen [hot spring].
The next story is about their dinner the night before (the evening of the 6th). They went out for yakiniku after the concerts.
Ryo, Yamapi, Tegoshi and Massu were at one table. KoyaShige at another.
Out at dinner, they ordered Korean nori [seaweed]. In yakiniku you order a bunch of different meat bits and cook them on a kind grill at the table usually, and you can order something like seaweed to wrap around the meat.
Anyways, they order Korean seaweed. Actually, Koyama ordered it. When it came he took a piece for himself and then passed another piece to Tegoshi. Tegoshi set that piece on his plate to eat, and Ryo stole it from him before he was able to eat it. Yamapi then opened the window (because yakiniku gets smokey). Wind blows in and the nori Ryo stole from Tegoshi blows off his plate----!! They look for it and it had blown onto the floor. Since it had been on the floor Ryo didn't want it anymore so gave it to Massu (LOL). Massu, not wanting the floor food either of course, passed it to Koyama hoping he'd deal with it (ROFL, TEGO). But Koyama had already saved a piece for himself.
So...... Koyama put it on Shige's plate. And Shige, who missed all this, saw it and thought "Koyama's so nice~!".
Shige procided to wrap his meat in the nori that Tegoshi had wanted to eat but Ryo stole and Yamapi's opened window blew on the floor which made Ryo give it to Massu who gave to Koyama who threw it out on Shige's plate. Shige wrapped his meat in that, then ate it, enjoying his meal like it was delicious. I'm sure it was delicious lol. But of course, seeing this, the other members laughed at Shige a lot. He didn't know why until the story came up in the MC. Apparently he had been wondering about it all night, even when they were in the bath. He had tried asking what was funny about it then but no one would tell him.
............................LMFAO. SHIGE, I'M SORRY HAHAHAHHAA.
Also, sometime during/right after this, Shige was going to say "Koyama and I..." and by accident he said "The Korean nori and I..." XDD
Randomly Massu commented the view from the yakiniku place was really pretty.
Towards the end only Shige and Massu were left and they called themselves Shigemasu XD

Massu completely failed at breaking during the pool part of why and his line about making excuses after that was hysterical in relation to that XD Shige had a hard time singing, a lot of the audience was laughing. Koyama and Yamapi changed their lines to critize Massu's mess up, and supposedly pointed at him XD

During code, the song stopped at one point near the end. Ryo removed his guitar and then took off his shirt- then put his guitar back on and continued to the end of the song (reason in the MC).

NEWS decide to all try and do the break for pool (there's a pool table used in WHY), whoever fails will have the punishment of removing their shirt during the second half of the concert XD This was in response to Massu's fail, though Massu kept arguing he's good at pool.
The order was Massu -> Ryo -> Tegoshi -> Koyama -> Yamapi -> Shige. Massu and Koyama broke the balls fine, Tegoshi got REALLY serious while doing it and did fine as well. Ryo messed up and seemed depressed afterwards, going up on the step area. Yamapi didn't even seem to want to do it, and messed up XD As soon as Yamapi messed up Koyama stepped between him and the camera (to cover Yamapi) and was like "Don't look! Yamapi's cool all the time, really!" and Massu joined in on this by stepping close to the camera and flashing a huge smile and peace signs XD
Shige was nervous to go last but Koyama reassured him the hurdle was set pretty low. Shige passed XD
So... it was just Yamapi and Ryo who failed at the break. It was then decided who would have the punishment by the crowd yelling/clapping. Ryo was saying "Yamapi has more muscle so go with him!!!" desperately and Yamapi commented that wasn't fair XD The first round it seemed like they had equal cheers so it was done again, and they decided it was Ryo who lost. So removed his shirt during code XD
After Koyama and Yamapi left Shige brought up that the opening was filming by Takki. They then started talking about the album and Massu said he just heard MURARISUTO recently for the first time XD They asked the audience what song from the album was good and they said MURARISUTO so Ryo was like "Why don't you sing it?". Shige said "I think we'll sing it at some arena~"
