Just-got-back-from-Las-Vegas daelite here.



Excessive reports of the 11.01.2008 Fukui 2PM & 6PM diamond parties. Tried to divide it up so you can possibly avoid spoilers. I only went on Saturday because of money and kind of regret that but OH WELL NOW.

EXCESSIVE. I do not want to admit how long I spent on this. Like 5 hours, not even kidding :P Everyone who wanted excessive reports- if this isn't enough I don't know what to offer you LOL. This is seriously like 20 pages in Word, I have no life XDDD
However... I have a vague memory of someone asking me to write fourty pages. I apologize. <-- lol

That's my lasting memory of these concerts LOL.



This was my first time in Fukui so had no idea what to expect. It was the total boondocks XDD Nothing wrong with that.

You can see the Sundome from the train and everyone started getting really excited :D

Like I'll mention later, even when the goods line looks long it won't take you more than half an hour LOL. But because the place is in the middle of no where food is a little bit harder. There's a Circle K (conbini) about 10 minutes away and various sit down resturants around. On the Sundome property there's a little building that has a resturant but that was packed the whole time I was there. A crepe truck came by and started selling yummy looking crepes at one point though :D

Inside the hall is quite small IMO. You can see perfectly fine from the standing seats. And behind you is 10~20 feet of open space until the outer wall, so you won't be crowded or anything either.

I think it fits like 10,000 people or something? Not sure actually.

To explain how small it was:
Ryo was standing on one of the outer walkways of the arena stage and threw a signboard (normal behavior). It smacked into the outer arena wall past the standing seats (causing Ryo to go "WOA" into the mic & the standing seated people to go crazy trying to get it).

Even though it's small... They barely glanced at my ticket either time to get in and didn't check my bag when I was going in for standing. When I went into the stands they 'checked my bag' but only glanced in one half of it (my purse has two separate sections), didn't touch anything, and didn't ask me to unzip anything. I was a good girl and checked my camera before entering the hall but I could have easily taken it with me. Not that I recommend doing so, I'm just saying.

There are bathrooms in the dome (duh) and also bathrooms in the building next door with the resturant (there's also a big lobby in there and a lot of vending machines so you can sit around in there while waiting for stuff).




My adventure to Fukui :Dv

As of Wednesday of week of these concerts I was not going to them.

I had plans for over 2 months for this weekend to go hiking in some mountains near Kyoto on Sunday so would be waking up at like 5 AM for that. Originally there was only one Saturday show, 6PM, and I knew that I couldn't get home from that until after 11 and thought I shouldn't try and push that and have to cancel on the hiking trip that I had planned to go to since before this concert tour was even announced. But when the 2PM Saturday show was announced I started thinking... maybe I could go. I could go to that! Then I'd just have to ditch on my school festival, which I wasn't doing anything for anyway.

As such, on Wednesday when I saw someone post of mixi they had an extra standing seat ticket for the 2PM Saturday show, I jumped on it. Messaged her immediately and she said yes :Dv Thank you Megumi ♥

I then printed excessive maps and information about Sundome Fukui to make sure I could find it (this was all unnecessary). I even bought an express train ticket on Friday night so I'd be all ready to leave ASAP Saturday morning ♥

Because it wasn't until midday Thursday I had finalized everything with Megumi I really had no time to get ready or get excited for it all! Trying to work on an essay and study for a test on Friday my Thursday was spent doing homework. Then on Friday I had three classes taking up my whole morning and I spent my whole afternoon being treated to delicious cake by an old acquaintance, and it wasn't until around Friday at 9PM that I started getting ready for the concert. Picked out a not-as-party-like-as-I-would-have-liked outfit from what clean clothes I had around (I need to do laundry HAHA), painted my nails a bit and packed my purse... and then it was 10 PM so I had (lol, because obviously I'd die if I didn't) to watch Ryusei no Kizuna episode 03. 8D It was a fun episode I thought. When it was over though I was so tired I basically collapsed after setting my alarm for 6AM.

......I woke up at 5 AM though.
Toooo excited to sleep in!

Because I woke up earlier than expected I decided to take a slightly earlier train, and left Osaka around 8AM heading for Sadame.

It was a really long ride- we stopped for mysterious reasons a few times and I had to sit next to a smelly old man for part of the trip (lol). In the seat in front of me were two girls going to the concert though, one had uchiwa handles sticking out of a bag and the other had Massu's RUSS-K t-shirt, with Massu's light RUSS-K jacket over it, with Massu's RUSS-K down vest thing over that.

I didn't get the courage to talk to them though because they weren't talking about NEWS, so I just put my headphones on and stared at Biwako out the window.

Around 9:30 we reached some far off station which has a name I forget and we had to get off there and walk up the platform to board another train before continuing. At this point the train was easily 70% people going to the concert- it's just obvious when most of the train is suddenly cutely dressed 20 something females LOL.

I was getting really antsy and messaging back & forth with Megumi like "WHY IS MY TRAIN SO SLOW" ->> "NO, WHY IS MY TRAIN SO SLOW?" wasn't keeping me entertained and listening to music just made me more antsy so I went to blow some time of mixi.

.....someone had JUST posted they had two south stand tickets for the 6PM show.

And as it turns out, the hiking thing had been cancelled for another weekend.

Before I even thought it through I messaged the girl and arranged to buy the tickets off her at the venue.

...........oh self, what have you done now LOL.

Since it cost me around 7,500 yen just to get to Fukui and back I figured I should make it all worth my time and see 2 shows. And honestly, I don't regret it at all :)

We finally arrived at Sadame Station at about 10:45 and I stayed in the waiting room until Megumi got there at 11. We walked to Sundome together and I didn't need my maps at all because we could just follow any of the girls around us or the signs that were periodically placed to guide us. Considering it was 11AM and the first concert was a 2PM the place REALLY wasn't crowded. I think the Sundome only holds like 10,000 people or something..? But still, it was really uncrowded.

Neither Megumi or I had been to the Sundome before and were shocked by the lack of things around it. It's quite literally surrounded by rice fields lol. There are a couple gas stations and a Circle K nearby but other than that, not much (that we saw anyway).

We got to the dome about 11:30 and were supposed to meet someone at noon to get our tickets for the 2PM show (Megumi traded for two tickets, one for me as well XD) so we were unsure what to do. Neither of us had had lunch but the restaurant next to the dome was packed. There was a long line for goods and we asked one of the workers how long the line would take and he estimated 45 minutes +.... but with lack of anything else to do we decided to get in line and figured one of us could leave to buy the tickets at noon if it came to that.

However the line took about 15 minutes and so we went to wait by the 'fountain' as people kept calling it (but it's not a fountain at all LOL it kind of looks like a place for a fountain but it's just a weird bench thing). I met with the girl who had the 6 PM tickets too, so we had 2 tickets to the 2PM and 6PM shows so all was well.

......not, because Megumi couldn't go to the 6PM show but the girl with the 6PM tickets refused to sell them separately so I had to buy both and was left with 800 yen in cash. HAHA.

So I couldn't pay Megumi back DD:

Plus the tickets were S row- the very last row before standing, so the scalpers wouldn't even buy my tickets LMAO.

We made a sign offering one ticket but after almost an hour no one had taken interest. We then remembered there was an ATM at the train station so we should have just gone there so I could pay Megumi back ASAP -__-

...long story, but I was writing "one ticket" (ichi mai) and as I wrote the ichi Megu was like "Er, don't use kanji" and I was like "huh? OK" and then wrote mai in hiragana. But she meant for the 1. Thus disaster XD

I loved the atmosphere around the place though ♥ There were some really amazing TEPPEN cosplayers- PV outfits and the orange&white ones too ♥ Plus 2 girls doing Chirarizumu with the yellow spotted outfits. ....and even a Gachibaka!Massu. I'm not kidding HAHA. This one girl was COSPLAYING GACHIBAKA!MASSU. She was as cute as Massu too- like with kinda chubby cheeks and all aha. When I was talking to her she was like "Do you know who I am?" and I'm like "...Massu?" and then Chirarizumu!Koyama was like "It's too long ago, no one remembers thattt" and then it clicked that her outfit was specifically from Gachibaka and they squealed when I got it right LOL. I didn't get a picture of anyone though because I had been a good girl and checked my camera D:

I saw 3 other foriegners there... but they ignored me 8D;; I was about to smile or something at one of them (they were in a group) and she turned away. It was like "--Ah...". OK fine, ignore me. XDD I always want to talk to those people because I feel like I might know them on LJ or something XDD; Probably not but. OK whatever XD

It was almost 1 so Megumi and I went to line up to get in, you were allowed in starting at 1, and luckily are standing tickets were 95 & 96 (pretty early on) so we'd get almost first choice of where to stand. Anddddd..... when waiting in line the Chirarizumu girls were near us (lol). .....and kept looking at us.......

........and the Koyama fan (actually Yasuda fan) bought my extra ticket!!

She was REALLY hesitant to buy it, worried about how much money she had left. I offered it for 6,000 (instead of the normal 6,500 price) and Megumi was all "She'll be next to you! You get to go to a NEWS concert with a foreigner!" and her Massu friend (The Gachibaka cosplay girl) was like "If I didn't already have a standing ticket I'd buy this in a second" and so Chirarizumu!Koyama girl (Maria) caved and bought the ticket. I immediately paid back my 6,500 to Megumi (so I now had 300 yen in cash on me LOL) and we were let into the hall a few minutes later.

The Sundome is small. Honestly, standing seats were perfectly fine and you could see everything. Megumi was really fun too if a bit quiet. It was a good concert.

First party started right a 2 and ended at 4:15.

After the first show Megumi and I went to get karaage from the nearby restaurant but they were sold out-- as expected of NEWS fans, addicted to karaage! We'd have to wait awhile if we really wanted some so we ended up getting hot dogs on a stick instead (money left on me, 150 yen). This was lunch AND dinner haha. Somehow I felt like cynicalism was telling me "GO TO THE GROCERY STORE, EAT FOOD" in the back of my head lmao.

It was almost 4:45 at this point, and the 6PM show would be let in at 5 PM so Megumi and I parted ways after taking a picture together.

I then went and found the Chirarizumu girls- they stand out like nails so it's really easy lol. We didn't end up going in until about 5:15 since we didn't feel like standing in the huge line right at 5. I went to the bathroom right before the concert started and the line was horrendous -_- I'm lucky I got through it before the concert started.

I'm really glad I went to the 2nd concert because my seats were in the South block center- I was in a totally different area than before and had a much better view. Maria was also WAY more hyper than Megumi and we were both screaming our heads off at EVERYTHING and singing along to all the songs XDDD I think NEWS had more energy for the second show too and the MC was AMAZINGGG. BB is my otp ♥ When Koyamapi duet started right after insane MC Koyama had the HUGEST grin on his face when the spotlight shone on him and Maria & I just died laughing <-- well screaming, but laughing... IDEK it was really funny.

Second party ended at around 8:20 and after taking a picture with Maria I ran from the dome as fast as possible and made it to the station JUST in time to catch the 8:20 train. Just to prove how far Fukui really is in the country, our train HIT A DEER and was stopped for 15 minutes to clean that up. wth O__O

On the train ride home there were less fans than I was expecting (probably a lot of people live in the other direction, are staying in hotels, or don't need the long distance high speed train I did lol) but I still shamelessly opened my pamphlet and looked at it for the first time. I read through all the main interviews (though not the secondary ones, saving those for later) and they were average, but reading the "to Fans" section they kept saying things like "Thank you for coming today" so I was really glad I read it that evening. Made me smile ♥ Yamapi is too good with sweet talk though HAHA. He was all like "The chance that we were born to live at the same time, and that you were born when you were and met NEWS can't be anything short of a miracle- destiny. I mean if you were born 3 years earlier you might have never had an interest in NEWS or never met us....." etc etc (I'm paraphrasing, not direct translating) and really!?!?! Yamapi ;~; ♥

Koyama also mentions in the pamphlet that they had "Ocean's 11" in mind when themeing the concert. I can totally see it, and totally love it ♥

I got back to Osaka around 10:45 and home around 11:15.

I took a showed from 11:15 to 11:21 and then sent a spammy email to Dianne with the Tegopi picture in the pamphlet and then fell asleep about a minute later XDDDDDDDDD I just had to send that picture though because the moment I saw it I was like "TEGOPI XDDD" <-- psycho who spends too much time on the train

Completely random and disconnected thoughts.

The concerts had the same setlist as you've seen everywhere else so I won't get into that XD

Both concerts were almost exactly 2 hours and 15 minutes long. I think the second one might have gone slightly longer but I might have just checked my watch later lol.

When the first concert was over everyone kept saying how it was way too short, but somehow the second show felt longer to me... and I guess to others too because I didn't hear anyone saying it was too short, though it could just be chance I didn't hear that XD.

The opening video is really awesome. Leave it to Takki to find a way to show both NEWS' sexy and adorable sides. I love that NEWS can pull off both so well ♥ My only complaint about the opening video is there's too many scenes you can't see their faces in. I think that's on purpose so when it shows them all one by one (from chest/shoulders up) there's more of an impact though. I love that they arrive in a STRECH HUMMER? Is that what that was? I seriously think so and I love it. lol. Massu giving a thumbs up with a mouth full of cake and popsicle during his solo shot was epic.

I love how the opening video fades into the concert ♥ In the video Yamapi offers the ring to you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY cues in perfectly. NEWS arrive in a diamond that grew out of the back stage.

During both greetings Massu does his "MASUDA TAKAHISA...... HAS.... ARRIVED IN FUKUI!!!!". During the first show Koyama imitated/mocked it. Shige calls the audience the diamond of the show ♥ Ryo calls himself the diamond of the show LMAO. Tegoshi has the audience yell, one side at a time and then together. During the second show Ryo had all different parts of the stage yell one at a time (standing, arena, stands, parent-child seats) and then all together. During the second show Tegoshi was like "Fukui's small so touch as much as you like! You could even hug!" (lol, impossible Tego XD)

After the greetings when they started leaving stage Ryo took of his over jacket both times. During the first show he tried to take it off and through it at Shige (to catch) as Shige ran off stage but Shige totally missed. Koyama was like "What a loser~" into the mics and people laughed. During the second show Ryo took off his jacket right as Shige was leaving and Shige kinda put his arm out to get ready and then Ryo just set his jacket down near him (LOL). He gave it to Massu(?) later.

I love Shige's solo song. After Sendai I saw people talking about how it was probably written by him since it had lyrics like "orange flower" (which he talked about in his solo show) but for the Fukui performances it said on the screen that the song 'Shalalalalala tamborine" was written and composed by Shige... not sure if it didn't say this in Sendai or not. Shige sings on top of the diamond thing with a big fancy mic stand and a red tamborine. About half way through the song he jumped down with the mic though.

MaSuperman is amazing. SOMEONE PLEASE COSPLAY AS MASUPERMAN TO A NEWS CON LOL. He's wearing a yellow super hero suit, with a red underwear piece (IDK what you call that part of a super hero outfit) and has most of his face covered. Chest and forehead have the MaSuperman symbol which is like a normal "MA" with a star on the end... here's my crappy 2 minute MSPaint attempt at recreating it.



During Massu's solo you can see MaSuperman and various vegetables on the background screen the whole time (eggplant, asparagus, tomato...). He spends the whole song doing intense dance movements and even flips.

At Fukui NEWS can in the truck things into the stand seats 3 times. During my first show that was Yamapi, Koyama and Ryo. During my second show that was Massu, Tegoshi and Koyama. So I got to see Koyama pretty close twice ♥ XD I might have made eye contact with him during the second show but I'm not sure. I definitely made eye contact with Yamapi during the first show though! *W* I know everyone is like "Sure you did, you can go ahead and think that" and seriously I will- because I'm positive I did. Seriously, he's too attractive XDD Koyama too. Tegoshi is just painfully cute and Massu is possibly psycho. He came around on the truck thing where I was during the second show but was taking a long time to stop and wave or get touched and Ryo's solo was about to start so he jumped from the truck thing and ran down around and out the south 1 gate to escape as the lights dimmed for Ryo's solo XDDD;; When Ryo came around where I was during the first show he was looking the other way most of the time so I didn't really get to see him :C

During Ryo's solo I kept getting hypnotized by the computer animations of the screen. It's of this person in a car and they're driving through a city at night, then day, then evening(?) (you're viewing it from their perspective and it's mostly black and white, poor animation) and then it all rewinds to start again with pictures of nature in the background. Hard to explain. But watching that and hearing Ryo's live voice was a soul healing experience I think ♥

During "EASY COME, EASY GO" there's a line like "You confessed and I can tell the answer by the look on your face, cuz your my friend" or something. During both shows Koyama had his hand on Massu's shoulder and Massu was making a weird/sad face. Massu's like "I confessed" and Koyama's like "I can tell from the look on your face, Massuu~" changing the line XD It's really cute. There was another song with KoyaMasu love where Koyama kept leaning his head on Massu's shoulder.

During HAPPY BIRTHDAY there was some changing of the lyrics to include "Fukui" by Massu during the first show, and Yamapi did it at another part during the second show.

During the performance of WHY as well as Shige's solo the screens showing the performance were given that kind of 'aged' look which added a lot of atmosphere.

You probably already know how why goes down but I'm going to explain it anyway because I love it XD
It starts with just Massu and Shige playing billiards. Koyama and Yamapi then show up in a bar type(?) setting. Yamapi then spins out into a dance and Koyama, Massu then Shige join him. Ryo and Tegoshi are then in an area with a sofa and jukebox(?) to finish it up.

BAMBINA is fucking awesome live. I really like techno type stuff so hearing- feeling that beat live was amazing. Tegoshi did a great job with all his fake (like the background yelling? falsetto stuff) lines although I think he almost forgot one during the second show because it was a bit off and late XD

Fly again was cute live. Actually maybe this is when Koyama was leaning on Massu, I'm not sure XD;;

I hadn't heard any of the solos or forever before I came to the concert and was pleasantly surprised by everything. I love forever ♥ During the first show I spent a lot of time staring at the screen to read the lyrics but the second time I tried to focus on how beautiful NEWS was ♥ haha

Randomly, I kind of wish they had performed Taiyou no Namida. It could have fit in somewhere I feel like... I mean WHY fit it wonderfully I thought. Oh well, I'm sure they'll be singing it for years to come XD♥

I LOVE THEIR NEW RED OUTFITS. I just dkajskdjasld/ jsadkaljsfsa fshafkasjf. Why is NEWS so badass XD Everyone looks great in them and they're just awesome.

NEWS seems to have almost picked colors. They had a set of new color coded outfits during this show with these colors:
Yamapi - Red
Ryo - Blue
Shige - Green
Massu - Yellow
Tegoshi - Pink
Koyama - Purple
That's ALMOST the same as the colors of weeeek, only Koyama's is different. Koyama... are you orange, brown or purple!?! I'm seriously not sure. And randomly Tegoshi had a pink tie to go with his pink pants which was cute haha.

Like you've probably heard a million times the dance for GanGanGanbatte is really cute. This song has grown on me a lot. The dance invovles a lot of waving, fist pumping (you know when Uchi first had his press conference for Isshun no Kaze ni nare and there was a picture of his with his fist up? The "Gan gan ganbatte" line has a move like that), hand in front of mouth (kimi ga waratte line), and such.

During both performances when it got to CHERISH Ryo has the audience sing his line "Mada shiranai asu no happy, monogatari wa bokura de tsukurou".

At the end of the second concert Koyama after either the first encore or the second coming out to say thanks left like "HISSSS" <-- grasshopper noise
It was hysterical XD

At the end of the first performance they did NEWS NIPPON & weeeek as the encore, introduces the Jrs & FiVE, bowed and left. We kept shouting for them afterwards but they didn't come back :(
But at the end of the evening performance in my head I was like "I'M GETTING THEM TO COME OUT ONE MORE TIME"... for some reason I was convinced of this. I wanted it to happen SO BADLY. After they did the NEWS NIPPON and weeeek encore they left and the hall was pretty quiet, just a few people chanting NEWS and then I looked at Maria and we kinda had this moment of smiling and then we started SCREAMING "NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS NEWS..." like really top of lung screaming, the girl next to me (not really a news fan, will explain that in my next paragraph lol) was like "o___O;;" and only a few other people around us joined in. The overhead speakers were making an announcement that everything was over and we should leave DD: And Maria and I were getting tired ;__; Some of the people in the standing row behind us kept chanting though, they gave me hope haha.
Suddenly from the left side of the dome someone somehow got a bunch of people organized though and so just when I was going to give up the chanting started getting louder again and Maria & I were half laughing half chanting XDDDDD And NEWS came out again ♥♥♥ As they were coming out Koyama already had his finger on his lip like "Shh" and soon the rest of NEWS was doing it- it's amazing when a whole dome like that is so silent you can hear the air conditioning!.... and well I'm sure you know what they did, they turned off their mics and screamed "ARIGATOU" and we all screamed like crazy back in thanks XD
Content, we left after that (LOL).
...I'm sorry poor staff who just wanted us all to leave XD;


Rule issues/etc
I have only ONE complaint about the concert and that's the girl who was standing next to me during the second party was a huge TJ (junior) fan who would literally sit down and not pay attention (going on her cell phone and stuff) when the Juniors weren't on stage. There really weren't many- FiVE was the band, the Jr Boys and MAD and they honestly weren't on stage that much but I think this girl had literally come to the show to see TJ. That's fine with me, really I don't mind but she had two HUGE uchiwa with his name on them that she hit me with several times and blocked me from moving my left arm most of the time. The girl on the other side of her seemed to be getting attack by her giant uchiwa too >>;; I have no problem with people coming to cheer on the Juniors there but if you're going to have giant uchiwa you need to be mindful of where you're swinging it. And don't be text messaging your friends and checking mixi in the middle of a concert. Seriously people? -__-;

You might hear a lot of people complaining about disobeying of rules and concert manners... it actually was kind of bad. When the truck things came around a lot of people were leaving their seats (from both the arena and the stands) to try and get closer to where the trucks would pass by and stuff. Some people really pushing and shoving too -__-; I just stayed in my seat so this didn't really bother me but it's kind of sad.

There were also a lot of people not chanting for an encore- they know one is planned so just sit and wait instead of getting into it and chanting. That's no fun, why would you do that!? Crazy people. This is just lame, lol.

Honestly people were more behaved than at the SPITZ concert I was at though. Which might be pathetic lol.

I can't believe I spent the whole day hanging out with Kanjani8 fans LOL. It was just kinda funny because Maria actually was like "I'm going to follow your dance moves ok?!?" and I'm like "Uhhhhhhhh LMAO". Megumi was an 18 year old Ryo fan from Nagoya, Maria a 17 year old Yasuda fan from Fukui (her favorite from NEWS is Koyama). They were really apologetic for being eighters but what the heck! No need for apologies. I'll be apologizing back to them during Kanjani8's next tour haha. We had so much fun and I'm so thankful for them both offering me a ticket and then buying my extra ♥ I couldn't have gone to either concert without them ♥

I really hope I get the chance to go back to Sundome Fukui one day because it's a wonderful little place. I wish I could have gone to the Sunday shows too but I spent around 30,000 yen on transportation, food, tickets and goods on Saturday so figured I shouldn't try and get tickets last minute. Plus I had to type up a monster report on the concert AND a monster report on Japan-China relations for school so figured I needed all of Sunday for that HAHAHA. (edit: this turned out to be completely true!)

Next I'm looking forward to Hiroshima ♥ will be going with likeafox and we're going to have EPIC uchiwa. And hopefully arena or low stand seats :D

I'm still unsure whether to try and go to Kumamoto or not, but I really loved the Fukui concerts so am more tempted than ever...

Honestly this MC wasn't very good XDD
It was plenty cute but just didn't have you grinning the whole time like some MCs do.

♣ NEWS talk about how they all flew into Fukui last night except for Ryo (who came this morning). When they all gathered at the airport it was like "...huh? Where's Ryo..? lol". NEWS didn't know Kanjani8 were going to be on Music Station, thought Ryo was drama filming or something that day, and were watching the TV's in Haneda airport and all the sudden were like "RYO-CHAN! *point at TV*". They reenacted it, Koyamapi singing the opening music to Music Station. "Do da da dum, da da di da du--RYOCHAN!?". It was realllllly cute XDD Ryo was laughing too.

♣ Massu comments he likes the round-ness of the Sundome audience area. He mentioned this during the greeting part at the beginning of the first concert so it's kind of like "Mass, we know..."

♣ Topic then changes to how Shige was late at the meet up time in the hotel this morning. Shige argued that he's ALWAYS early and then has to wait so thought today he'd wait a bit before going and then, of course, the one time he waits everyone is already there. Massu reenacts how the manager went to Shige's door and was knocking on it like "Kato-san? Kato-san?!" and then the door swings open and a perfectly made of Shige (Massu makes this motion with his hands over his head, like Shige's fauxhawk or something XD) steps out like "'Sup". At Sendai everyone was late meeting up, especially Yamapi, so he thought he could be a little late~ lol. They were supposed to meet at 9:40 in the lobby- Massu woke up at 8, Yamapi at 9:35 (Yamapi reenacts how he threw his clothes on super fast lol).

♣ They had seafood stuff for dinner last night- crab and such (they all went out to dinner except Ryo, who wasn't there). Ryo commented "Oh when I'm not there you go eat fish" and Koyama was like "We didn't do it purposely XD"

♣ Massu and Shige got WAY off on a tangent talking about crab crockettes and crab stuff... the two of them were just talking back and forth about it. I can totally imagine them sitting on the airplane chatting like this. ...but it's not that interesting LOL. Massu didn't used to like crab cream crokeete but when he ate it last night he liked it and was surprised. Eventually one of the other members/all of them were like "OK SERIOUSLY, ENOUGH"

♣ Towards the end of the crab talk Koyama began stopping it by breaking in and asking Tegoshi what he thought. Of course Tegoshi is like ":D???" and everyone's like "THERE'S NO WAY YOU WERE LISTENING JUST NOW" and Tegoshi responds offended yet trying not to giggle like "Yes I was! Crab... and stuff", mentioning a few words Massu and Shige had said. Koyama then says "Oh~ okay, so was what they were talking about interesting?" and Tegoshi gets this adorable grin on his face and is like "It was interesting!! *giggle giggle*" and everyone's just like..... maa Tegoshi LOL.

♣ Tegoshi says Friday night after dinner he watched the sports news, played DS and went to sleep. He was saying the name but I had no idea what it was, looked it up (Tegoshi fan blog, thank you lol) and apparently it was Da-bi- Sutarion.

♣ They ask Massu if he plays video games, thinking he doesn't. He says recently cleared all the levels in Mario. Cue NEWS laughing XD;; They said Massu looks like Mario and tell him to jump like Mario which was cute XD Someone was making the jump "Pyon! Pyon!" sound effect too.

♣ Massu starts talking about how even if he's running late he won't run for the train because what if he hurt himself? And at any rate then you'll be panting when you get on the train XD So he won't run. His story was really slow though and there was no punch line or anything... lol Massu. Shige tried to save the subject but having Massu kind of act it out.

♣ Shige says if he gets his clothes caught in the train door he pretends like he hasn't XD Yamapi says once during high school he helped a business man who got his stuff stuck in the door free but the guy ignored him. Yamapi says he hates Japanese like that (LOL).

♣ Ryo talked a bit about how Massu's solo is really catchy and gets stuck in your head easily, even though the lyrics don't really make sense. He says he was on set for Ryusei no Kizuna humming a song and then all the sudden was like "Wait, what's this song?.............MASSU'S SOLO!?!?" lol. Koyama(?) I think then made some comment like "Massu's solo gets stuck in your head easily but Shige's doesn't- his just doesn't have any impact" and Shige's like -____-

♣ Because Ryo praised Massu's solo, Massu starts saying how Ryo's is nice and catchy too. Ryo's like "Oh really :?" and Massu's like "Yeah I always find myself humming it" and Ryo's like "DON'T FRICKEN LIE, THE FANS WILL FIGURE THAT OUT LOL" and Massu's like "No, seriously!!" and they bantered a bit. Ryo asked Massu how many times he's sung 'ordinary' (as if to prove if Massu is lying or not? lol) and Massu says probably 15 times. Ryo says he's only sung Massu's solo about 4 times (LOL).

♣ Friday night Yamapi was going to take a bath in his hotel room so turned on the water to fill the tub. While it was filling he went to his computer and then when he went back it was too full so he pulled the plug to let it drain some. He then went back to his computer, and when he went back to check again the bath had totally drained (LOL, dangers of computers).

♣ At some point Yamapi is talking about how him, Shige and Koyama went to a public hot bath together. When they were there some old man looked at Yamapi and told him he looked like the Johnny's-style XD Ryo asks if Koyama gets told he looks like Johnny's-style and he said he does sometimes. Shige said Koyama looks like a Johnny from behind. They then have Koyama spin around though and he's like "Don't I look like a Johnny?" since from behind his body profile is all slim and such. Cue audience screaming XD

♣ Still on the Johnny's topic, Koyama has a temporary tattoo of "K K" on his arm. Yamapi's like "Kamenashi Kazuya right?" and everyone laughs XD

♣ Koyama and Yamapi start to leave for their duet, and they explain how it's a song they wrote together. Yamapi is all like "Koyama and Yamapi. Koyamapi. Koyamapi won't lose to Tegomasu!!" and Tegoshi cracked up a lot. Right before they left the stage Shige was like "Koyama. Butai." and Koyama was all "Oh- er, right I'm doing a butai at the start of next year!" and someone (Shige?) is like "Where..?" and Koyama's like "The Globe Theater I guess? Details will come in Johnny's mail" and Koyamapi rush off stage.

♣ When Koyama and Yamapi left to go prepare for Ginza Rhapsody the remaining four burst into laughter the second Koyamapi were gone. Because it was just that awkwardly silent LOL. Shige then led everyone to promote what they've been up to: Ryo advertised Ryusei no Kizuna and asked if everyone had watched last night (chorus of yes), Tegoshi announces when Shabake episode 2 will be on. Massu thinks "Shabake" sounds really cool, as a word/title XD rambled about that for a bit.

♣ Massu/Shige then talked about 'color' a little bit.

♣ They talk about Happy Bath Day for a bit, how Tegoshi really uses it. Tegoshi says he uses it as his body soap all the time these days. Massu says he got like a year's worth (I guess they all did?) and his mom's been using it. Shige and Massu talk about it's weird to smell something like that from your mom. They also comment they smelled it when running around at the concert XD .....Cue Ginza Rhapsody.




11.01.2008 6PM Fukui Show MC

♣ MC started out kind of slow but picked up fast ♥ I loveddd this MC and was cracking up so much. I think I might have gotten the order wrong somewhat, so sorry in advance ><

♥ At first they were just asking if everyone (audience) was having fun and if we had touched the members yet. Throughout both concerts they kept restating how small Sundome is so we should all touch them (especially Koyama and Tegoshi are big on this XD).

♣ Shige brings up the performance of "why"-- at the beginning when it's just Massu and him they're doing billiards. Shige asks the audience if Massu has been breaking the balls right LOL! Because Shige comes out at an angle he can never see. Massu says that of course he's been breaking the balls correctly, but Shige counters that he'll come out and the white ball is gone LOL. They all insist Massu's probably not good at billiards, they can't imagine him doing it in his spare time.

♣ Massu doesn't suit billiards- Tegoshi however, is probably good, says Yamapi(or Koyama?) and Massu's like "I'm the senpai though" and they just laugh XDD Tegoshi comments he's been into darts and billiards lately. They talk about how Tegoshi's scary when he gets into things because he does them until he gets really good. Tegoshi says he's totally cool going to play billiards alone.

♣ Cue NEWS like "Tegoshi what's with you doing things alone XDD" because Tegoshi's famous for doing karaoke alone. Tegoshi just says he's fine with it, though he has stopped bowling alone. If he gets a strike and is like "YES!"...... but no one's there, it's awkward. So he's given up on bowling alone. He still does karaoke alone though and thinks it's fun. He has no bad feelings about standing there singing passionately alone with the karaoke workers come and bring him drinks and such.

♣ Yamapi says that when he went bowling with friends once they put his name in (to the bowling machine that keeps track of everyone's scores) as "Piya" (Japanese comedian reference, Kojima Yoshio). Some member then asked Yamapi if he'd go bowling alone and he says (in English) "No." XD

♣ Shige comments Yamapi surprisingly hates doing things alone though, and Yamapi agrees. Massu then asks honestly like "Can you do anything alone?" and Koyama's "That's so rude to Yamapi!!! XDD" but Massu says he didn't mean it that way and Yamapi replies proudly he can brush his teeth alone.

♣ Ryo wonders aloud if they came to Fukui during their last tour and the audience is like "You did~~!!!". Massu tried to comment, that there's nothing around the Sundome and someone (Ryo?) told him off for being rude but... it's true, there's really nothing there XDD Like PLOP in the middle of a rice field is a dome.

♣ Ryo comments Massu has the body of Doraemon but a head like Jian...... lol. Everyone's chatting about this and suddenly Yamapi says "Massu doesn't need a costume for Halloween" and NEWS is quiet for a moment and then like "THAT'S REALLY RUDE OMG XDDD". Yamapi didn't seem to have meant it in a rude way though (like Massu earlier about the alone thing) and he bows to Massu several times like "Sorr~~y Sorr~y".

♣ At some point they talk about video games a little bit and it seems like Tegoshi has been into some DS game. Shige asks him what kind of names he gives his characters and he says the name of a drama character he's playing as recently, or like "Tegoshi da yo" etc. He then starts trying to remember the name of something and confuses it with Golden Eggs (TV show that has weird looking characters that were on those stickers Tegoshi, Yamapi and Koyama were playing with- awhile back in the jwebs they talked about it). A few seconds later he's like "Oh wait no Golden Eggs" and mumbling to himself and Koyama's just like "Tegoshi, no one cares XDDD" and Tegoshi's like "Ah, oh XDD"

♣ Tegoshi's been talking a lot which is rare for a MC so they encourage him to keep talking, but about something people care about. Tegoshi's like "OK then, when did everyone start feeling like they were an adult?" .............................laughter LOL. I couldn't help but think this sounded like an interview question from a magazine lol. Koyama takes up on this saying that even though he's 24 there's no way he's an adult, no way! and he thinks he stopped growing up at some point. Ryo asks when and Koyama is like "Nineteen!" and NEWS is like "What?! XDDD" (er, lol Koyama, you were 19 when NEWS was formed, I'm sorry they stunted your maturation into a normal adult XDDDD)

♣ Koyama easily changes the topic away from his 19 year old 24 year old self by bringing up how Shige's face matured faster than the rest of him. They start comforting Shige saying when he's in his 30s he'll be a cool old guy and Shige's all "Don't talk about stuff so far from now XDD" (he's only 20 now after all!). Shige admits he's face is mature/well-pronounced though and someone from NEWS is like "You said it yourself. ..." and all of NEWS cracks up. Koyama comforts Shige saying he's like to try being like that once LOL.

♣ The topic changes to how Massu had once likened all of NEWS to animals. This actually started with Shige saying how Koyama's a grasshopper (this was like, the main focus of the MC) and Koyama being like -___- and Ryo cracking up (Ryo and Shige like this grasshopper thing. A LOT. You'll see lol) Someone then commented about Massu being a pig, he even draws a big on all his signboards!
Shige: Do you think pigs are cute?
Massu: Pigs are cute!
Ryo: Are you saying you think you're cute?
Massu: No... *smiling*

♣ Shige was a rabbit (duh XD). Massu can't quite remember what Tegoshi was, but he was some kind of small animal. Ryo was a lion (being told this Ryo thanks Massu, because a lion is a good animal to be, lol) and Yamapi was a baku (I looked it up, mo? It's like a jungle pig tapir thing). Yamapi didn't seem to know what a baku was and is kinda like "...8D;;" when he hears it. He comments "I'm a human!". But when the members kinda explain and he decides he's a really great animal, eating bad dreams. Yamapi then comments into the mic "I'm gonna eat you up" to the audience and we screamed LOL. Massu says that there was some time when he saw Yamapi zoning out and thought he looked like a baku.

♣ So..... then, Koyama's a grasshopper. LMAO, you can tell he hates this and he's like "Why am I the only one that's a bug!?!" and everyone is DYING of laughter. Audience and NEWS. Shige and Ryo particularly freaking LOVE THIS. LOVE IT TOO MUCH. They would NOT let it drop. Like... WOW omg. It was so funny though and the two of them were laughing so much as Koyama tried not to crack up himself attempting to defend himself XDD Shige was all like "You're one of those long skinny grasshoppers that jumps around" and Koyama's like "Ha??"

♣ Did I mention Ryo and Shige could not get over grasshopper!Koyama? Towards the end of the MC Ryo was like "Koyama if you're really cool in the next song (Koyamapi duet) then the audience'll be like "He's not a grasshopper~~" and Koyama's kinda like "Thanks Ryo -_-;;"

♣ Ryo and Shige are seriously not letting the grasshopper talk die so Yamapi is finally like "OK. ENOUGH PEOPLE. LET'S FORGET THIS EVER HAPPENED." and Koyama's like "That's impossible the audience has DEFINITELY already got it burned in their memory!" and Yamapi's like "Well let's just stop talking about it." and NEWS is like "Okay okay". Yamapi then says "This is a party, we don't need grasshoppers."

♣ Cue Koyama FREAKING OUT HAHAHAHA. What a spazcake. He's like "YOU DON'T NEED ME!?!?!?!" and NEWS is like dying of laughter and Yamapi's like "NO NO, WE DON'T NEED TO TALK ABOUT GRASSHOPPERS" and someone's like "Koyama said it himselfff" (that he's a grasshopper) and Yamapi's like "No XDDDD I want to talk about the meaning of this being a party seriously XDD" Yamapi has a little line he keeps saying about how they wanted this to be a party so everyone could come and forget their worries for awhile. He also does the bowing sorr~y sorr~y・to Koyama like he did to Massu earlier XD. Ryo joined him once I think, bowing and saying sorry.

♣ ....Did I mention Ryo and Shige could not get over grasshopper!Koyama? Right before Koyamapi leave Shige does his usual "Wait Koyama, what about your butai!" and Koyama talks about how it's going to be next year so please come. Shige's then like "Wait, where are you going? A field?" as Koyama's leaving and he's like "No -_-;; Gezz"

♣ At some point Ryo was telling Koyama to change the "K K" on his arm to "GRASSHOPPER".

♣ At some point Ryo (possibly Shige?) is like "All the little guys in the field are Koyama" (wth?! XDD I swear they were crazy).

♣ At some point Shige was like "People will start writing GRASSHOPPER on their uchiwas for you" and Koyama's like "Stop it seriously, I don't want that" XDDD;; Tooooo late Kei-chan, I'm sorry.

♣ As Koyamapi leave for their duet they explain it's a song they wrote together- Yamapi calls themselves "BaBa" (grasshopper = battai, baku = baku... shortened to BaBa) and then Yamapi/NEWS(?) shorten it to "BB" and they keep saying it XDD

♣ BB are about to leave and then Yamapi is like "MC's over? I wanted to talk more :((" and we (the audience) are all like 'Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee' and Koyama is kind of like "Now I look like the bad guy" so they stay for another minute. Yamapi seemed to have forgotten what he wanted to stay on stage and say though, so he ended up leaving anyway a few seconds later haha.

♣ BB finally leave XD Ryo promotes Ryusei no Kizuna and Tegoshi promotes Shabake. Massu and Shige talk about 'color' and how they're performing a few songs from it today so it'd be nice if everyone could try and remember them.

♣ They talk about how NEWS fans can wear RUSS-K and put on Happy Bathday- isn't that nice? and then Shige adds "And go to Lawson" and the audience cracks up.

♣ Tegoshi talks about how he's sad so few people are wearing the hat pin (cue "EEEEEEEEE???" from audience wearing it) and either Ryo or Massu comment people might have bought it but don't want to waste it and wear it. Shige then comments "Then buy two!" and it gets quiet for a moment and Ryo starts yelling like "That's so rude, what the fuck are you talking about? You should be happy if they buy one" and Shige says something I forget and Ryo's all "They worked so hard to come all the way here and now you're criticizing them! It should be enough they bought 1! It should be enough that they're just here! Do YOU have the money to fricking buy two? Huh??" and Tegoshi's cracked up at this point XDD Shige tries to defend himself saying like it's not about money, but their love for NEWS and Ryo's all "YOU BUY THINGS WITH FEELING????" and ends up storming off stage XDDD;; Audience is dying of laughter and like "GO RYO HAHA"

♣ Tegoshi's giggly for Ryo fussing at Shige and Shige & Massu are like "|D;;;;........ okay, let's go". Tegoshi's like "Wait XDD They're [Koyamapi] not quite ready yet" and Shige tells Tegoshi to finish up the MC then. He yells some cute stuff at the audience and then runs off stage and Ginza Rhapsody starts.




Goods :Dv

Fukui is fairly small so even when the zigzag for the goods line was full it took less than 20 minutes to get through the whole thing.

I spent 7,200 yen I think... er haha. Good news is now I know I won't spend that much at Hiroshima! I'll probably just by the Tshirt or towel and be done with goods XD Hat pin is cute but those things never look good on me. I'll probably buy shop photos at the shop sometime so consider that separate spending than concerts (lol, I'm stupid and can fool myself like that :Dv).

I got the pamphlet, L sized ring (should have gotten M -__-), dice cellphone strap, Koyama uchiwa, tote bag (to carry it all LOL) and penlight.

Sorry that some (a lot?) of these pictures are blurry but it's really a pain to sit there and retake them multiple times and all. If there's something you really want a better or different picture of tell me (specifically ok??) and I'll retake it eventually.
I say eventually but I love NEWS so much lately (like I didn't before 8D;;;) I'll probably reply to you within a day or two XD

Penlight

Diamond shaped and blindingly bright (IMO). There were a few really dark parts of the concert where I felt like I was shining a flashlight on the person in front of me lol. It has an off, flashing, and on setting.

Ring

Not as cheap-y as I expected but still pretty over-the-top XD
Says NEWS on the back. At the front of the goods line they have rings for you to try on (but I still got a bigger size than I should have haha).






Cellphone strap

I honestly think this is really pretty nice. I was shocked by how heavy it is- the dice must be solid metal. The painting on the dots of the dice is red & sparkly and the "1" side has a small gem glued to it. White part is that kind of leather-y plastic (not pleather, but I don't know what it's called". Seems sturdy :? I love it because it's white and matches my phone ♥ I also like that it doesn't SCREAM Johnny's so you don't have to feel embarrassed about using it. The ring is the same I guess, but it's so huge that it attracts more attention than a phone strap.

Is normal. ...XD I forgot to take a picture of all my friend's Ryo ones lol.






Totebag

Lettering is gold and sparkly and seems like it might rub off on you but I was wearing it all day yesterday and it never rubbed off (so far? lol). The bottem is square/rectangle so expands so it can hold a decent amount. The perfect size for pamphlets and uchiwa haha. I love it because it's red and matched my outfit that day and matches my winter jacket ♥
"NEWS" is written on a small tag in the corner.

I cheated and didn't buy these at the con, I was in the Johnny's Shop on Monday (lol). There are so many good ones this time ;~; I restrained myself to these though.
I love that picture of Shige during his solo, and the picture of Takki & Yamapi is priceless, and the Koyama-Ryo-Shige-Tego picture is wtgusdhaksd painful cute, and the picture of them messing with wooden bits? wth? NEWSILU, and Massu & Ryo making peace signs and and and. Yes :D

Pamphlet

Hardback and that oversized size that makes it hard to scan. Not like I'd scan my anyway (no scanner, sorry haha). My favorite part is the black and white group shots in the city that they published in the very center (slightly smaller page size). When reading the pamphlet shot report the staff kept saying how energetic NEWS were during this photoshoot and you can really tell, those pictures are all smiles :)
